Worked the whole dang weekend...but life sucks when you get all week off...Hope you all had fun, photos???
Sorry you missed out JimO. Was a great turn out. Had a fun time and the weather was perfect, could always be a little cooler. As soon as I find my cable for my camera I will down load some pictures and post them up. Problem is, I have no idea were the heck it is.
Alright thanks Palmer, Sounds like a good ride looking forward to doing it soon. Went to you tube to look at the Husky Monument. I've been riding in the area before but not the actual Monument it looks great. If George went I hope he did'nt find any water crossings... C ya soon. Jim
Great seeing all who showed and rode, that may well be some sort of US record for a most Huskys together in the dez since the 70s. Very nice mellow ride but did get a 68 max speed (from the WR430!!) Thank you all for every bit of support,,,from leading the way, to having radio com, to towing, and for all the good spirit. Thanks for helping me scratch another item off the bucket list. R
Sounds like you all have a good ride. Too bad I couldn't make it. I ended up riding a day event, lost in a sea of Austrian pumpkins.
What a fun desert cruise..... Thank you to all who were there and set it up! Great people, nice weather and riding. No better combination! Here are a few pics from the day. The new record??!! ( Honda riders can be useful ) The HUSKY!

Man it was great having your old 390 along, I'm still having flashbacks from the good old days Might look into the magnets on the flywheel, if they get weak that'll make it hard to start too. Just an idea, good luck.......
Thanks,It was my first real ride on that bike.I plan on doing some vintage MX,so now I know what it needs. It felt real strong once it lit up.

Shoot! WE forgot a Cafe Husky sticker to slap on the old rig. See what happens when Dean, or Woodschick dosn't show? I am still looking for my cable, and no, my computer has no card reader.
That's ok, I tied my last "official regulation" Elvis red scarf that I got in Graceland on my 50th birthday to the handle bar of the monument. So at least we have that........
Feather duster was much needed and was employed on my bike only George seemed a little fidgety and sure enough the master cylinder for his clutch went out and he had no clutch for the rest of the ride ! I swear I kept the duster away from his bike but he used some shall we say a "colorful discription" of me to come over and show the duster to another guy and he got pretty close to it then.(is the jinx still alive)?? Myself and believe it or not, George and about 4 other guys splashed up with the last of the Elvis cologne and stunk up the area pretty good before the ceremonial placement of the old used bottle under the orange cone behind the monument for those guys to enjoy when nobody's around. Stay tuned.......
