I wish I'd bought a 310 but got such a smokin deal on my used 250 that I couldn't do it. They really need to widen the gears if they want to call them dual-sports. I hate riding mine on the street more than about ten minutes and it's about 25 min. to the nearest trails with good climbs.
It must be true. I saw a new wr250 advertised on criagslist/seattle at Taskys for 5500. Dyam if i had the extra cash i would jump on that.
