Lets get one thing straight. NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING!! And any BS insider BS is well just that BS ! The drama continues.................... Absolutely NO COMMENT....................................For the moment the Gas Gas fills the need for speed.............
Yep, sad thing to say but I already did my crying ... time to get on board or go away ... -- I'm staying on board no matter what ... If he races a xlite-450 machine ... That will be too cool for the Husqvarna kids ... -- I'll try to buy one also and pimp it out here... Just for the good times watching it race ...
I love huskys as much as anyone but in the end they are motorcycles and I can choose to ride one or choose to ride a different one. In the end I will still be riding. Hell I could ride my pimped out 04 CR165 til I die and be happy as a clam... I am riding.
The answer is obvious. SP buys Husqvarna. SP shuts down Husaberg, one less competitor SP sells his KTM shares to Bajaj. Bajaj starts building Pep Boyed KTM's in India. SP turns Husqvarna in to the dominate off road motorcycle producer and he owns them outright. Yes, I am joking...
At first these were my hopes and how it was pitched, then other detals came out which down played this as plausible, however recent discussions have revealed Pierer has been taking personal control of everything that has defined KTM such as WP and Cross industries. What really makes sense though is Pierer has a significant loan due in the next couple of years that in order to pay back he may just have to sell controlling interest of KTM to repay, only time will tell if that's how it will go down. He got a smoking deal on the HSQ's and the biggest reasons for the current incentives is to get the inventory out of BMW's warehouse and not have to spend all the money on logistics on relocating all of that inventory coupled with the fact that by turning over the inventory to the dealers Pierer will get an influx of cash to get his action plan moving. Also of note it is completely 100% up to Pierer if he decides to maintain the 650 or 900 production. BMW will not offer any future R&D or turn over any of the other projects they were developing, but the existing product line (including the 449/511) can be produced to infinity under HSQ should Peirer decide to do so.
Real hard to believe Husaberg will be demoted when they just teamed up Mike Lafferty with Russell Bobbitt here in the States for 2013. That's some serious ammo towards a National Championship.
In SPs latest Cycle News interview he is saying the Husqvarna dealers will get a crack at selling Husabergs....so far 'sharing' but not absorbing seems to be the strategy.
