Don't the original auto covers have a steel insert at the kick starter? It was added to the standard shift ones for 1987. Did they really stop the insert with water cooling in the auto line? I have this discussion what NOS really mean. Is it (pictured item) reproduction or cagiva era replacement or really NOS the way I think the S=stock as in OEM. What do you think? edit I looked at the parts sheet maybe the sleeve is another part?
