A little less bottom and mid and slightly more overrev. The stock pipe, was in the one that comes ont he bike is CRAP IMHO. Just swapping the pipe on a stock 125 gains a good 2 HP over the range. I would not run the stock pipe on anything. Mod a $50 eBay KX125 pipe to fit if money is tight. Good pipe and will add a bunch of power. Ultimately the KTM 200Sx pipe rules. .

My WB165 arrived yesterday as well. Now I just need my carb back from RB designs who are closed for the week :(

Has anyone tried the FMF 125 pipe?

Yes, works fine. Not as much power as the 200SX pipe but good all the same.

It is amazing. When the jetting is spot on, you have to be careful in the tight woods as the wheel will come up in 1st-3rd, sometimes when you're not expecting it... tagged a tree pretty good because of this, not complaining!

My ktm 200 has more power for sure and will run out better, but not down low, which was surprising.

I'm having a custom pipe made for the 165 from RPM in upstate NY. Should be interesting...

Just a little update on my quest for the perfect race bike (I feel I am close). For some reason I never rode my WB165 with the FMF WR 125 Fatty that it came with. I was so power hungry when I received the WB165 top end that I immediately modified the Gnarly and threw it on. Well I swapped out the pipes this evening after reading posts and questions from other members. I am still running the small silver with the OEM power valve springs. My knee is still killing me and I am still out of work so I probably shouldnt be riding at all. I threw on a helmet anyway and went for a quick easy ride around the back yard for the sake of you Cafe Husky members! You can thank me later! Poor me had to ride:applause:! I was surprised how ridable the 125 pipe was. It didnt have near the low end and mid of the Gnarly but then again it didnt have the massive hit either! I would ride or race with this pipe if it was my only option. I am currently on Walts KTM 200SX Fatty waiting list so if it is like the delivery of this pipe but only more bottom and mid I am guaranteed to be happy! I noticed that the 125 pipe did rev out more as well where the Gnarly signs off pretty early. I am interested as to what switching power valve spring combos will do? If the pipe didnt hang so low I would consider racing it at the next event. The Gnarly tucks in so nice that I will probably deal with the extra almost to aggressive hit for the next south Jersey sand race. If I dont have the KTM 200SX Fatty for the race in West Virginia (mid April) then I might just run the WR125 Fatty. Just remember that I race both south Jersey sand and north Jersey / Pennsylvania rock and roots. My back yard area / testing area is rock and roots as well. If I raced strictly sand and faster events with minimal rocks and roots then the Gnarly wouldnt be too bad at all besides the fact that it doesnt rev to high. I am not a revver and stick to low and mid as much as possible. I cant wait to try the modified KTM Fatty!

Thanks :D! I have a FMF Fatty and PC 2 on my Husky and will run that until somebody comes up with a plated one for the 165. What can I say I'm old and slow so I gotta at least look good. My 165 will be here soon and I'll be testing on a MX track and woods loop :).
