    Norman,

I am going to send you a red/white Hamilton Bronc jersey and a hashed old Montana license plate so you can really bling the ride at your next enduro.

With the '09' frame and layout said to be superior to even an '08, do you feel like you are giving up very much with an '04? If you get the forks working better, how much difference do you think?

    Curt,

I set it to work with your type of gas. The vast majority are set so they run well with pump premium like 91.

I took my WB165 out last weekend for the first time. I'm currently running the 125 FMF pipe and RB modded TMX. My jetting was a tad lean on top but it was still everything I was hoping it would be. If the 200 pipe makes it better, that's just icing on the cake. There's now enough bottom end to loft the front end over logs and trail trash without using the clutch. I can also climb rutted rocky hills without abusing the clutch, just downshift and go.

Thanks Walt, you've saved me from looking for a GasGas or KTM 200. All of my riding buddies I've told of this project have had the same reaction, "oooooh, I want to ride it".

The 125 is so light the differences is not as huge as say as on the WR250/300 to the x-light type of comparison but do think the new 09 and up frame and forks are superior. I do like the ergos and low larger tank on the 04. I also always liked the look of the 2000-04 especially in white and blue. The 05-08 is my least favorite as they seem taller with the big wide seat and high mounted tank. I like the 09 and up, then the 2000-04 then the 05-08. All very good bikes and 125 fun. The 08 CR125 seems to be the runner of the bunch. Actually my 04's all ran strong too. What's odd is it seems the 09 and up are the ones needing motor help.

04 is the same as the 08.

The 09 and later bikes turn better...not that the old ones were bad....the newer ones are fantastic.

For some reason the 04 motor ran great stock but the new ones don't run well at all without a bit of tinkering!

What size? I'll see what I have.... Joe got a second in his class at Curly Fern on the 144, so maybe he doesn't need that extra 21cc's of "Old Man Help" yet!

Hold a second,I have to catch my breath.Just took out my WB165 for the 1st time out behind my houseon my mini test loop.I swear Walt designed this bike for NewEnglands slow nasty rocky rooty and rutts .After 2 days of idling here and there i put in some gear just to break it in and 1st thing I noticed is it wont stall,my rock gardens are nasty and I went thru in 2nd gear barely moving and the motor sounded like sewingmachine, wouldn.t as much as hick up,amazing tractor like power.I will ride this weakend in much faster type pinetree forest with massive hills,I already know this is a killer hill climber, quick run down on what my setup is.FMF FATTY KTM 200sx pipe 13/48 gearing 100-100-18 tire TMX 5.0 slide suz needle in middle 470 main 32.5 pilot 1.5as stock spring and linkage in around the middle,so far I,m very happy. Bike is a 09 wr125,well used to be.
