    There was nothing else similar in 1975 for Honda to pattern the Type 2 on. Maico still had down pipes and forward mounted shocks. They copied the GP360 for engine layout and frame layout for laydown shocks. They may have copied Maico for the forward axle forks as Husqvarna did not have them then.
