I did the same thing. Is the part number referrenced the exact same part as stock or just an interchangable lever. I'd like to keep the clutch lever same as stock.
I bought a 2013 Terra and it already has SW Motech pannier racks. I am probably wrong but it looks like SW Motech only offers a soft bag. The racks are easy to take on and off the bike, and I would like a pannier that is also a snap to install or remove. Is there a truly waterproof soft bag or what hard pannier do you readers reccomend.
For the SW Motech Quicklock racks they sell adapters for virtually any hard pannier system on the market, have a browse through the SW Motech online shop. Their own hard panniers are the Trax line. I was pretty happy with them, but I have since switched to a soft pannier setup. I don't particularly care about the waterproofness of my soft panniers, since I always use separate dry bags inside them. The soft panniers just need to be strong enough to handle the abuse I put them through. I went for the Adventure-spec Magadan bags and love themto bits, but they are expensive. To go with a rack the Wolfman Expedition Dry bags, the Tetons and the Rocky Mountains will fit. Andy Strapz will work as well, just like Steel Pony bags. And there's many other options out there as well from Giantloop, Kriega, Ortlieb, ...
Soft bags, Wolfman Expedition Dry bags. Pricey but resilient and waterproof. Dirt Bagz soft bags if you don't mind packing things in waterproof bags to place inside the Dirt Bagz and they are very affordable..
Andy Strapz, his Explorer, soft bags with pannier racks specifically for TR & Strada - in my opinion the best on the market
I have the MoskoMoto back country 35 l soft luggage that will fit on the SW Motech Racks with the provided adapter.
