holy blessings-------It rained all day in Kosice, Ivan Ramirez(MEX) reported super good conditions on the test loop!!! not crazy rain just nice rain to kill dust!!! maybe it will throw down more during the week and make this a super epic ISDE
back to KTM ISDE Kosice graphics (for Norm) they need to open the gas cap lift it high roll that bike forward. then roll a TE300 under and reinstall the gas cap----then swap out the plastics (I know they dont really fit) Now back to ISDE FB has lots of on point threads-- one of my faves are a 3 man Vet team Now theres a great old school 1980s look KTM
From Reid Brown... What a week it has been in Kosice, Slovakia! We got into the city on Monday evening after a little bit of a drive from Krakow, Poland, and the weather was hot! The region hadn't seen any rain in almost 2 months, and the dirt showed it, as it was shaping up to be a very dusty race. The first few days were in the mid to upper 90's, and just walking the special tests was very warm and everyone got quite dirty because of the dust just being kicked up by our feet. On Tuesday we headed to the Paddock to begin assembling our bikes after they had been in the crate for the last two months, and we got it together really quick. I feel a lot more prepared this year than I did in Germany, so we got a lot of the work on the bike done ahead of time. After we got the bike finished up, we immediately headed out and started walking the week's Special Tests. I spent almost all week walking withRyan Kudla, Jess McKinley, and Kyle McDonal. Right away we could tell these tests were going to be very technical, but a lot of fun! The test sections on days 1 and 2 are pretty straight forward except for a really difficult hill or two, but the real fun starts on the test sections from days 3, 4, and 5. The terrain around here is very mountainous, and in the Special Tests, if there is a hill, they either sent us straight up it, straight down it, or made us do a crazy off camber turn on it. There is one corner in particular that everyone is talking about, and a few people are wondering how they're even going to get around it! Those turns couple with some of the steepest and most technical hill climbs some of the guys have ever seen is going to make this race extremely fun and definitely one to remember. After we got down walking tests yesterday, we did the final preparation on the bike to get it ready for impound. Today (Saturday) we went through the Administrative Check In process where we got our rider numbers, liability insurance forms, and transponder holders for the bikes. After that, we hustled back to the paddock to put on the numbers and license plates, and we headed down to Parc Ferme to take our bikes through a Technical Inspection where the bikes are scrutinized to make sure they are legal for the week's racing. After the bikes passed the technical inspection, we pushed them into an impound area where they will stay until Monday when the race starts. I mentioned earlier about the hot and dusty conditions. Well, yesterday that all changed when we got almost half an inch of rain, and it drizzled almost all day today! Temperatures dropped into the low 60's, and it looks like we could have an absolutely perfect week of racing ahead of us with no dust and mild temperatures. We'll keep our fingers crossed, but I wouldn't be opposed to a survival mud race. Anything but blinding dust like we were looking at earlier in the week and I'll be a happy camper.
day 1 done and USA Trophy team is in first by over a minute! A good start. maybe the best ever start. the guys will do fine. I am sure Kurt is watching and pointing out good lines!
Garrahan and Hoess doing well. Well enough to show the youngsters how it is done. Both on gold bar far on day 1. That D36 team is a bunch of guys who are the role models of why we ride.....THE FUN! good skills and sense of humor. They always use the "Dick in a helmet" pose and think it is so funny how they barely hold the helmet by its side as if it is "Mysteriously suspended" LOL
Daniel Milner is so friggan fast 44.09 on the day...... if he keeps it together he can OA the event. big fan of the big Oz man

Post from Reid Brown... Well day 1 is in the books and the only thing I can say is it was freaking awesome! Conditions couldn't have been better with rain on and off throughout the day, and nearly perfect traction throughout. I started pretty far back today and had to pass a lot of riders on each test but I made the best of it. Ended up 6th in the E3 class, 6th American club rider, 40th overall club rider out of 290, and the club team I'm on, the Go Fasters team is the top American in team and 8th overall out of 96. Not a bad day at all. I had some very avoidable tip overs in 3 tests today, so I have a lot I can improve on tomorrow. It's still really early in the race, but I started off on the right foot.

Reid just posted this from todays race. Sounds like they are doing well. Here we are at the end of another day, and Day 2 was another rad day on the bike! The tests and transfer trail are SO beat up, but it's all very fun and I put some really strong times together in the 6 special tests. On the day, I remained in 6th place in the C3 class which was awesome, but I moved up from 41st to 33rd in the club team division. The best news of the day is that our club team is absolutely killing it! We moved from 8th to 6th, and we should have been in 5th but Brian was penalized one minute for a reason we have yet to find out. Brian was absolutely on rails today and was 14th overall club rider before his penalty, and Nate put in another very strong day. Collectively we are all riding well and avoiding big mistakes, which is the most important part. I had one small tip over in the very last test of the day, so there's still room for improvement tomorrow!
