I'm not too thrilled to hear that they are going to use a Taiwanese built motor in a future Husky. The reason I like the Euro bikes is because they make and build them in Europe. If I want something made in Taiwan or China I'll shop at a Big Box store.
I have seen the first pictures of the new Husqvarna 450, at the first round of the MX3 World championship. It´s not ready yet, because Alex Salvini did use the old motor. Look at this picture: Bike 1 and 2 Salvini "old" bikes, Bike 3 Salvini new husky bmw 450, bike 4-6 is the Tc 250 -10 Andrea cervellin and Jernej Irt bikes
the same as me.........or less, I am about 20 more than I like (at 217) I am sure we can expect somewhere in the normal range of 220-260.
Hopefully we will see a glimpse of the future this weekend, since Juha should have the new bike for round 1 of the WEC.
http://www.motoclubvalverdeno.org/en/foto-galery/view/72 scroll through and the BMW and Husky trailer are buttoned up tight. More photos on the clubs website might be a candid shot of the new bike.
http://www.motoclubvalverdeno.org/en/foto-galery/view/75 One bike under Husky tent but looks like a 250. Still looking... http://www.motoclubvalverdeno.org/en/foto-galery/view/78 Shots of Juha and bike at tech, sure looks like the BMW header in the BMW frame. There is a few shots of Husky bikes but none show the motors. Sorry I am at work and I cant host the acutal photos.
Here is Juha in a special test, flying on his BMW G450x http://actioncam.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Enduro/Juha Salminen Espanjan Mestis 28.03.2010.MOV
