    It would be cool.

Sorta like Pastrana racing the red bull straight rythym.

Lets hope it's a secret master marketing plan to release the 2015 KDX200!

This article makes more sense then most I've read from or about RV..

    http://www.mxlarge.com/2014/10/11/brave-new-world-ryan-villopoto-speaks/

He seems to be saying he's doesn't really wanna go back to levels fitness levels (and grind) of ama racing for another full yr and maybe wants to walk without a limp later in life ...

Also, seems like a pretty good attitude and outlook on what's ahead ... After watching him race the last 4-5 yrs, I'd expect nothing else from this young man.

That was a great interview, Ray. He covered everything and addressed all the points brought up by his criticizers.

I severely doubt he will compromise his focus on the world championship with an ISDE ride. It's nice for the offroad crowd to dream and get their own mileage out of this fanfare, but I seriously doubt it.

:banghead: Criticizers? WTF does a person have to do to prove their worthiness (to whom?) This guy has worked his ass of, is the Michael Jordan of motorcycle riding and has exactly zero to prove . Ride fast and safe wherever you choose brother.

    - Oh Some vicious asshats on one of those boards were even taking shots at his girlfriend's looks. Wow, how possibly shallow can one be? Amazing. Rant off. :o

It seemed a little more adultish ... That ISDE stuff sounds like more journalism ... RV is a MX racer today ... Not sure he would want to mix in a different type of bike racing at this time but ok...

Has anyone given any thought to what racing every other weekend is gonna be like for lots of their racing season? There is plenty of free time here when compared to an sx season in the states. Its gonna be odd with so much time off for him I'd think... I've had jobs where my company flew me back and forth across the country every other week... RV could fly back home > a few times that season if he can deal with jet-lag ... Is he gonna be a tourist 1 week and a racer the next week? What do their racer guys do between races?

Not sure if these words below are out here yet but ... It's just racing ... 2011 MXdN? RV won the last moto, RD5 was 2nd and the states were the champs.

MXlarge: We talk about the huge variety in tracks we have here from sand, to hard-pack to clay, to rock. Will that be difficult to be prepared for that. I mean most American riders are pretty aggressive, and a lot of tracks here need a lot of throttle control.

Villopoto: You know obviously a lot of our motocross tracks are not hard pack, but we have a lot of Supercross tracks that are very hard, obviously not with stones in the dirt, but a place like Vegas has one of the hardest dirts we have, you can’t get much harder than Vegas is, blue groove all over the track. I mean I don’t know how anyone could say a track could be harder than that place. For the hard-pack stuff, or the different terrains, I am not worries about that. We might not get the rocks, but we have a fair share of different dirt in the states with Supercross and Motocross. I mean St Jean (MXoN site in 2011) I heard is one of the worst tracks they race on in Europe and I did fine there (won a moto).

Good find Norman. That go pro video reminds me of racing in Europe, fast normal jumps and 3 lines into and out of turns not like American one line tracks where most of our National tracks have shipped-in loam and a 'lifted' track above it's native soil. All because promoters are afraid of a little dust? Excuse me but I'll take some hard pack and a little dust in the second moto over our over-watered one line rut fest we see each week on the national circuit.
I think Vilipoto will love the change and will do good over the pond, but Cairoli will be hard to beat. Gotta love RV's hang off the back of the seat style, reminds me of Hannah in his day...

JimO you're alive! Good to see you in here. I agree on the US track thing. Let the tracks be how they are naturally. Let Hangtown get hard as a rock, stop trucking in perfect dirt for every track and let them be different and unique.

That Villopoto video Norm posted is amazing. His first ride back and he is already going warp speed! I'm not a huge Villopoto fan, but if I had a 100th of his skills on a bike I would be pretty stoked.
