    Hey Husky Bro's I'm in Australia , I have bought a 2013 Wr 300 , will I have to change jetting ?
The dealer is taking off the restricted expansion champer for road & putting on the offroad one , if this makes a diff!
Can someone explain what exactly happens , with the Mikini?
All info will be great help , Cheers

Follow up on my 99 WR125 with the closed air screw...

It started and idled at about 2500 RPM if I had to guess, got that turned down and it sounds a lot better, throttle response was far better too. I was only able to ride around the house a bit but after 10 minutes of mostly low to half throttle the plug was taking on a coco brown color on one side. No spooge!

About half the times I went WFO, I felt a little stutter as it hit mid range. Mostly going slightly uphill, the downhill with same throttle it pulled right thru. Fat on the needle?

It was only 50f today, I guess it'll get worse as it warms up if it is fat there. Pulls so much better with the air circuit open. One step closer!

My bike runs like shit now that i have changed to a pro-circuit exhaust, lots of spluddering on low throttle openings and it dies of in the midrange for a second or so before it reacts and goes on. I have some issues with jetting clearly, could someone please help me. Stock Mikuni carb.

Don't know about the Pro Circuit, but my WR250 has the FMF Gnarly and I had go three sizes leaner on the pilot, it likes the stock needle and 400 main pretty well though. Probably go leaner on the main when the weather heats up...

With the gnarly I went leaner on the pilot 32.5 and GAY needle in the middle and richer on the main 430.

Stock pipe was stock needle 35 pilot and 390 main.

Sounds like you are too rich in the lower ranges not too lean up top.

I finally had the chance to ride this bike (11 CR150/FMF pipe) long enough to be able feel it out and make a few adjustments. My 04 RM125 has this carb, and it was set up correctly right out of the box. The Husky, not so much. I had a little weakness, almost a (lean) stumble in the mid throttle, and wide open exiting corners. It wouldn't hit hard, even with a stab at the clutch. Considering all the spooge I have, I wen t a notch lean on the needle, wondering if that's where it was coming from. Wrong. It got worse, so I went a notch rich from stock, and that did it. It hit's HARD on turn exit, and even if I'm a little low in the rev-range, it still comes on hard, and pulls clean until the next gear. After that adjustment, and when it was cold, I tried starting it without the choke. It fired in 10C weather, so the spooge is coming from too much pilot. If anybody else had the same problem, let me know what size pilot fixed it. I'm guessing 30 should do it.

I recently bought a Keihin PJ - runs like a dream when idle but....

its fouling plugs like crazy - plugs are wet...
lacks in power - power valve not workin - i think its not going enough rpm for power valve to open...

please tell me what main should I use and what neddle ? or what should I do to make it work...?

Hey Falcon...where about in Oz are you from?

    Check this thread http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/new-and-improved-2-stroke-jetting-database.27395/
The googles docs spreadsheet will be real helpful to you ...2013 WR300 will no different to 2010 onwards 300's as they all used the same carbs and really hasn't changed motor wise since then.

Belogerer...PJ's are really finicky carb's so much so that guys with RMX's ditched them for Mikuni TMX's or PWK due to the same symptoms as your experiencing with the 360 - the choke idle screw combo was one of those "what the hell where you thinking?' moments!!!

Its not about thinking but about budget...it was very cheap and after I did a lot of reading I think there is a chance to make it work...still waiting for answers on what main/needle should I use...

    TMX

    #5 Slide
    Gay needle on middle
    50 pilot
    440 main
    Air 1.5 out

Very crisp, sounds different, pulls hard from the bottom and doesnt seem to end.

    Leaner slide and heavier Jets.

Doing a 9 hr day on Sunday of very tight technical and slow terrain with an abundance of Logs from sea level to 3500 feet.

See how many times I can boil it!?

Picking up the 11.5L IMS tank tonight so will pop that on too.

    Throw it away rather quickly!!!

Dell'orto was a pain to jet and even more painful keeping it jetted...your best bet is a 2nd hand TMX mikuni from the WR250, Keihin 38mm PWK or Lectron.
