Thats when men were men, more power wasn't enough, & I love it! Back then there were fewer, simpler rules & ingenuity was key. Now there are so many rules...parody is what we have. Everyone must conform.
That thing is ugly as, but a good study of what can be achieved with a clean sheet and some ideas I've heard of it before, but not seen his website. Some interesting reading there. Yamaha used a hydraulic front wheel motor on one model of the WR450F for the Dakar one year, from memory it didn't make full distance. They released a production version named the WR450 2-trac, but it was crazy expensive.
