I went out with the desert family over the holiday. I was able to mix in a few trails, chocolat thunder, jack hammer and the starting hill. My clutch was a little on the loose side and making the 300 run too hot. I gotta buy some Evans coolant for the event. Anyone know a local SO Cal source? Either way I'm all signed up.

I went to great lengths last year to make sure everyone knew I had nothing to do with Graham's mousse. Yet I am still getting the blame! LOL.

Well All I have to say now is Walt Smith motor builder of the year I got my KOM 165 Special back and installed and tested

The motor is a tractor in a light weight bike frame. I went out riding today, I even used a beat up old tire. Because the golden Tyres
which are like cheating only last 100 miles. Any way I climbed everything I pointed the front wheel at. Lug it and hold on it will climb. It is geared 12 52 so top speed it like 40 But what I give up in the flats I will make up in the hills. Everytime I go out I ride trails or I make trails. I never would have thought were possible. It is crazy the stuff I try. No one will ride with me. I have to go alone My son when he is not working will come. we are going out to KOM again next weekend. Then it is Rd one of the Nationals followed by KOM. Then Rd 2 so every weekend is riding

Thanks again Walt I feel so much better now that the bike is working well

Wow! 12/52 Gearing... I could barely keep the front wheel on the ground with 13/52 and I went to 14/52!

If you look at his vids there are many places he is crawling through massive rock gardens at walking speed or less. I cant imagine what he does in the open stuff as that bike can't go more than about 35 or so pinned. I run 13/50 or 12/48 in the tight steep woods.

12/52 is really not that low I would go lower if I could I raced it as a 125 for years at 13/52 and then as a 165 still raced it at 13/52 even in the wide open desert 14/52 really is to high for desert racing I tried 14/52 and went back to 13/52 Except for KOM My son is racing my stock WR 250 and he is 12/28 stock is 13/48

PS Ajax you're using an FIM pattern E2/E3 size 140/80-18 gummy on the rear of the WB165(?? yes??)......geared like it is and with the super fat balloon sticky rear tire its a rock crawling machine (GT does not make a E1 size 120/90-18 gummy)

PS Jarvis has been local SD getting sorted.
