Heck no, don't delete this thread. It has some great info that everyone can benefit from one way or another. Deleting this would be a disservice.

There was nothing pointed at you. Why do you feel the need to make personal attacks against people? :excuseme:

I was simply commenting about how great it is that there are places that can make a bike right by relating my own experience, and that putting other shops down while sharing the information isn't needed. I've never even heard of Kreft before reading this thread. Too bad you need to sift through the crap to get the information.

Funny thing is I didn't see you saying anything negative about ZTR either, so it should be pretty clear that I wasn't talking about you.

And I know there's no magic dust, I've watched him do the work. And no I don't plan on getting a bike that comes with 4CS forks until you've paid to show the guys at WP how it should be done. You're clearly the smartest person you know.

Delete this thread??? Who on earth would benefit from that? Oops, that's a dumb question. This is a forum to share experiences and guess what, there are good AND bad experiences. Stating only the positive when there are negatives paints an inaccurate picture. It's negative experiences that can help other customers to not make the same mistakes AND the company/product to make changes to remedy these situations. What's lost is mostly lost and that can be painful and costly. But, those with negative reviews can take a page from RD5's book and "keep moving forward". Hopefully with a few lessons learned.

Why did this thread get buried in the Italian 4-stroke forum??? The OP was talking about suspension on his Austrian/KTM husky.

Wrong forum. Please fix so that it is accessible to those researching these topics.

I agree with the above thank you. Please move this and all its information back to the Austrian section.

"Huskynoobee" you are the one making personal attacks on someone. Saying "I am clearly the smartest person I know"? Is nothing but a smart a$$ comment and it doesn't help or apply to this discussion either.

Thanks for relating your personal Kayaba experience to try to help but it really doesn't at all when you don't run the WP 4CS forks? As that's what this discussion is about.

    Back on topic:

The two conversations that I had with Adam at Kreft were quite informative. He helped me to develop a plan of action with my stock suspension. I only have a few rides in now but I'm slowly working my way through. We discussed his offerings and what would fit my needs best. This is helping with my analysis of the stock setup so we know what to change.

I have a riding partner who has a shock that was worked by Kreft and it is a nice setup (according to him since I never rode his bike stock).

Kreft and MX Tech are using similar components as they each had a hand in the design. The difference is the application. Different theories I guess. If I decide that my suspension needs a tweak I'll be giving Adam another call to discuss my findings and desires. IMO it is essential to know what you want to fix before you commit your bucks to parts and a revalve. He's not into "blindly" sending in you suspension as he's not sure what you liked or didn't like.

    Huskynoobee,
Sir, I don't care to call you anything.

I can tell you a funny story though.

I once decided to have a professional do some work for me that I didn't want to do myself. Though I had the identical same machine as he did to do it myself.

I got to stand there and watch him too. As he attempted to do "his magic".

He came to my house to do this work. When he was unsuccessful in doing so and stated he couldn't do what I was paying him for which was about 100.00 an hour. I went out the back door about 50 ft. to my garage. When I returned with the same model machine he had brought out of his service van, except for the different handle on mine I had bent on my tube bender that he admired. I asked him to move his machine out of my way and I did the job myself with my own machine after he failed. When he tried to tell me I still owed him for doing the job which I just did right in front of him.

He made a similar comment to me. Something to the affect of "Well if you think you are so damned smart, why did you call me to do this job for you ?

Since he was there to clean my laundry room/dishwasher/ kitchen sink drain pipes out which he was not able to do. I noticed that his business card said right on it under his business name "XXXX XXXX sewer services". He had his motto printed on his card that said "We take crap from everybody".

I told him "Along with his smart a$$ mouth, he may get paid to take crap from everybody". I then told him " I don't take that kind of crap from nobody". Without another word said.

At that exact moment I believe as he ran out my back door leaving his machine behind. He was the "smartest person he knew at that time". My pit bull Crocker and Harley my English Bulldog chasing him all the way out the gate he ran through until he jumped into his van and bailed.

His boss came over the next day, apologized and got his machine back. There was no charge for his work.

Suspension is not one of those things I care to tear into an learn to do myself. I don't mind paying a good chunk of money to have it done top notch. I have before too. I don't have the specialty tools needed to do this at this time myself though I'm sure they are readily available. Although I ought to learn, but there is just to many parts, years of trial and error and all the variables. Not to mention the stock of all the needed assortment of shims, nitrogen cylinder and related parts and pieces you need to have, to do this kind of work.

Hopefully it gets placed in the Austrian section where it would be helpful. I think the OP placed it in the 2T section since most 4CS threads started early there and there isn't much selection in the new blue section.

Hey Aaron, sorry for the off subject story but you asked.

For the most part he gets fed "Walmart Old Roy complete nutrition" "Pedigree copy" but since he's a house dog and spoiled rotten. I feed him anything he won't turn his nose up to. Which is a bit of any meal I may be eating (unless he of course he turns his nose up to it). Which isn't often.

He loves habanero hot sauce on anything except potatoes.

He eats anything in the way of a treat, no matter what it is that I try to sneak out to Crocker my Pitbull. He's an outside dog. Harley takes anything he wants, which is everything away from Crocker. Like a freight train he pushes his way into the center of anything he wants really. There is no stopping him..

He once got ahold of a huge stuffed gallon bag of some of my homemade Jerky. I just made this batch from a $40 Bottom round roast. I forgot to put it up high on the counter while packing my lunch for work. It just came out of the dehydrator that morning still warm so I didn't seal the bag because it would steam up. He somehow got up and got it and he ate the entire bag in a day while I was at work. It was marinated in a super hot concoction and covered with Habanero chile powder. Some rank farts for days after trust me. Hence his apparent lifelong addiction to hot spicy foods and habanero peppers. Maybe that's why he is a nut.
    ********************************************************************************************************************************************

Now back to the Suspension subject. Sometimes we force ourselves to afford, (like it or not) to let others do the "dirty work". Even though they may do this "dirty work" (being used as a figure of speech). in a super clean environment. We may not always get exactly what we want when the communication sucks with that person we may be paying as they are so busy and behind on their own schedules or are overworked and not able to deliver said product on time.

This happens in many trades and quality may begin to suffer.

Doctors and Orthopedists rings a bell right now with me when I mention "the communication sucks". My recent trips for my messed up shoulder are like people coming and going in and out of the place like they are running a puppy mill.

Like talking to an Attorney, Time is money and I would rather pay to get it right for all those communication phone calls even if I have to make 50 phone calls.

But when we are talking about suspension and If 25 of those phone calls is just to get your stuff back and to ask why its taking so damned long when it may be weeks overdue or is taking way longer than was initially promised that's a bummer and is bad for any business. Shipping costs going back and forth just to get it right can kill a deal quickly.

Hey even a drain cleaner company guarantees their work but you still may not want them to come back even if it is for free.
