OK read the article and here's my impression: Interviewer asks a Husky specific question, Burleson replies to it with a KTM based answer. Clearly he's lost touch and become a bean counting politician. I think I could actually see him talking out of both sides of his mouth at the same time!
You can make a small fortune out of the motorcycle business......if you start with a lagre fortune that is!
We can dream right? We can dream that SP would sell Husqvarna for a Swedish Krona to a Swedish company like Koenigsegg, that would bring Husqvarna back to its homeland where it truly belongs. They could start small with a few models, a 125 and a 250 2T (with a 300 top end included like the 125/144 WR) that could do mx or off road. A 250 and 450 SX 4T, and a mid and open class 4T that is street legal. Guys could shed the street equipment like they already have done with the (pre KTM) TE's and race them in mx or off road. So that is half a dozen bikes to build. I would so love to see the legendary gun sight bikes find their way home.
I believe there is 1 husaberg guy left at ktm and he isn't allowed to do much since the 70 degree motor was killed.
Mr Interviewer should have asked Jon-Erik... "How are you going to stop the Italian Husqvarna fans from gravitating to Sherco and Beta?"
Unfortunately being sick won't work for me. I'm at a mine site 2000km from home, I think they'll notice me fly out from site & come back after the weekend....
