Thanks guys - appreciate the input. Very helpful. Taking the referenced threads and Dyno charts into account, looks like I was looking for HP in all the wrong places and will be looking to an alternate path, aka porting and milling. Thanks again.

It's all good and best wishes on the quest for power....I too enjoy sticking it to the 450's on the little screamer!

Just to put my comments on your dyno numbers into context, I should clarify. I operated and tuned FI sportbikes with a dynojet dyno and tuninglink software for about 5 years so I have a bunch of hands-on experience and countless runs. Dyno's are a great tool for comparison. As others have alluded to, the number it says on the dyno doesn't really matter. What would be very interesting to see would be what the TMXX, that was working well and providing the desireable hit of power, made for power on the same dyno with the same tire. Some good comparative data. I'm just curious.

All good, no feathers ruffled. Confused by your results, nothing more. Thanks.

I didn't have time to read this entire thread but being the discussion seems to be about Dyno results and carb comparisons, I remember posting my results of my new WR300 after I had just
installed a Gnarly and JD Jetts in the stock Mikuni. I haven't had to change a thing since as the JD/Gnarly combo has really given me that extra torque for tight woods trails while still retaining that
    nice burst mid to top.
BTW, the Dyno machine at the local shop that I use isn't actually a Dynojet Research dyno. He bought it from a company in England and had it shipped over. I think it may be the same company that
makes the Bazzazz Tuners but not 100% sure about that. Anyway the point of that is I've always felt that the results from his dyno were always less than what I expected and he even admits that. He did
do wonders for my FI on my 511 using that machine however.

Good article and mag . It doesn't state what size the carb is . You would think it would be a 36mm .
