It was a rough week, but I couldn't be happier with the outcome she came back all in one piece only damadge done is to my ignition wiring and thats nothing a quick do over with some solder wont fix, I'm one lucky son of a bitch
Hey my friend.. asking about your cool SuMo.. where this wheels came from and what size are they? rear 5" or 4.25"?
Not the whole bike, just the latest addition to the money pit... courtesy of Dave at Fast Bike Industries in North Carolina.
Only shots of my last track day (2km Road race circuit), went down 2 rates on the rear spring (5.8>5.4) and the death wobble seems to only kick in at 140 now if I'm too aggressive on the gear changes. Hopefully I can get the axle and caliper so I can use the new forks before winter sets in and I'm too lazy to ride (it's never too cold in Aus!)
Geometry and valving on the forks has never been matched to the rear. I never bothered since I have the other forks in the works. Low speed agility vs high speed stability.
What mount are you using to place your Scotts Damper under the handlebars? Looking on the Scotts website they show the damper above the bars. This won't work for me cause I have added 1 inch spacers under my bars due to being fairly tall. As well the above bar mount is fugly.
Scotts submount kit from scotts... didn't quite fit with the offset clamps so had to file the sliding rod that goes I'm the damper a in half as it was binding up..... should work stock and was no big deal. Scotts is the best damper on earth allowing the wheel to return to center stops tank slippers after they happen. Most dampers try to stabilize the steering so that a slapper doesn't occur, once it does you are hosed.
