So, since we got storms this am. I decided to get inside the VM carb. Was wondering if I could fool it into thinking it was a big carb for top end and lil carb for torque. I do this on my modern carb mods. Well it has completely change the sound of the engine. Bike has more bottom and more top end. Darn thing feels like a 300 now! So that means I can get a titch more out of it yet. Love this thing and with the newer Maico forks and Ohlins. This thing fly’s, handles great and soaks up everything.

That's awesome! I'd be super excited to give your carb mods a try. My 300 is still rockin' the Lectron and while it feels a bit lazy, it does suit the trail riding I'm doing.

Best mod to a 300 is smooth and manageable. If they become too gnarly then they wear u out.

I've had trouble with the semi gloss paint too. Mine wouldn't cure without a hot box for a day or so. Guess they got the mix wrong. 6 frigging cans, I feel your pain Darin!

Stuff junk! I’m sticking with baked on gun kote or cerakote from now on.
