Gold or Black?

If black then I need to get a set polished up and get them up to shee Kago, for anodizing.

I'm all about black rims... but aren't gold rims a bit more correct for the period (and Team Moto-X Fox)?

I've got 3 more sets of rims that I welded and sent out for anodize stripping. I just have to sand them up, polish them and send up to Shee Kago. I may do a set in black. I might stick them on the wee ninety at some point. But plan now is to go off of you guys' suggestion.

Maybe go bright gold instead of the milky gold Husky uses to get that trick custom look you like so much.

I've got a set that I could prob borrow from the Maico that are in bright gold. Let me hold one up against it and post.

Ahhh yes, the magnesium Maico hubs, my 79 250MC was the same so I replaced it with a aluminium hub.
That gold does look great against the rest of the bike!

I see that VMX has new hubs. That's what I'll go after. The money pits!

That's will prob work out good because I'll borrow rims off the Maico, then polish a set of mine up for the maico.

If can't find a aluminum swingarm for it. I will chrome the Maico rear one. Plus bling heck out of it with polished billet parts.

I got a set of fox shoxs for it.

Some of the originals were aluminium, the mag hubs have holes cast into them, mine came from a 81 490.

I have the JB Weld repairs on my 390WR centercases now treated with KBS Rust Seal so that lower end can be assembled and used as a stunt dummy for the frame repairs I have to do on it's new home. Starting to get excited about it now.
