Yep and that wheelie was another top level PRO move ... Stew34 probably used his clutch perfectly to put his front wheel right up there where JB51 had to see it ...
Ray Ray, looks like that stinking auto correct bit me again, lol. Plus it was late after a REALLY long day of trail prep for the Alligator Enduro. I do think its time these riders let "Bam Bam" know he can't just plow his way to the back of the field each week. We were in the stands hoping Alessi & Barcia would go at it.
Cool and no-prob-blam-o on the names... Alligator Enduro? Sounds like a familiar named event to me ... I think it was Seely(?) who rode so well a week again said the 450 guys raced different than the 250 guys ... He made it sound like he liked it better ... Look at this action in the 1st corner ... 800 and 51 were certainly pretty close here Ain't that a cool pic ... #800 being sized up by #51, #29 railing the outside, #5 trying to get straight, #15 leading the way with #1 dead set on the inside with #7 sitting right there ... Stew34 just made the inside corner!
Freakin Barcia! Man I saw this coming. Barcia is exciting to watch when he's racing the track, but he's such a TWIT with a spoiled-brat attitude. View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1wyTQCkeEE Seems to me Malcolm learned his retaliation move from Villopoto!!! View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKEMRvh0ORI
Wow he got a fine and probation. More than Alessi. WTF? http://motocross.transworld.net/100...stewart-fined-daytona-incident-justin-barcia/
The Bam Bam/Stewart crash was not planned trust me. He ain't no twit. We race hard here in D34 where he came from ain't no big deal. Get over it. MS took him out way harder in the past, almost got him be-headed. Look him in the eye and call him a twit, not here. He's a tuff kid trust me, I know him.
He should be fined. Guys run into each other all the time out there. If they don't fine people for pushing and shoving it might turn into a hockey game out there.
Humm......... MotoX and fights I like it . jk but I did like it when Malcolm pushed him. I guess I'm not a BamBam fan. To keep his fine amount down next time he may just use his bike like Alesi; what a joke!
I was ok with the pushing. The other person also has the opportunity to lay him out. Launching the bike at him wasn't cool though. I think Steve Kanya is right though. Doing some moto as a teen in PA and NJ was way different then it seems here. It's just more aggressive riding there. Honestly I think it's the mindset in general. Being slow I knew I was just a berm for the fast guys on the track lol. I don't think he rides like Alessi where he's out to screw someone over. I just don't think Barcia sees a limit, he's focused on winning (even if it's not working out right now). I'm really not even sure how to put all of it but this is his normal and probably what he's used to. I doubt any adult backed off for the kid that was faster on a 80cc, I bet they pushed him even harder on the track. The other pros are just to soft
He has a nick name of bambam for a reason. Not cool. Malcolm was running with Roczen and the front runners on his first SX at a gnarly track and was taken out by a dude called bambam and they both went down. Yeah, Malcolm might have over reached, I'm sure he was pumped up doing so well and then enraged when a takeout move happened. I know racing is racing but his moves taking people out is not racing it roller ball. Is that what we want to see? I don't, I want to see how fast people are and wanted to see where Malcolm might have ended up. A real pro racer finds a clean way around and I find beauty in that. I used to love Barcia but the more I watch him the less I like him. He could have ended both him and Roczen career with his last move tossing his bike into Roczen in the air. This is not racing it is just stupid in my book. He was a 1/2 inch away from possibly ending Rozens career. A the beginning of the season RV mentioned many times that BamBams tactics would not be tolerated in the 450 class. I thought pipe down, whats the big deal. Now I see what he is talking about. To each his own opinion but when those that race with you talk about you being a problem there is a problem. You don't see any of the real top guys doing that to each other.
Thats fine for local level racing, you have lots of different levels on the same track and little rules. Its expected there. But this is the pro level. Its like comparing a pickup schoolyard B-ball game to the NBA. When you get to the top and are "professional" there are different expectations and ways to do things. Those guys race at the top level and don't expect take out moves to be the norm. If you cant get by semi clean you are not faster. IMHO. There are millions of dollars, careers and teams of people at stake at this level.
I'm also in the "loosing patience for Barcia camp". I used to like him for his aggressive approach to racing. Not afraid to run it in on someone who deserves it. And I still support that approach. If someone, (cough, cough, alessi) is all over the place trying to hold you up when you are clearly faster then it is ok to make a rough pass. Barcia seems to think that it is necessary to make contact everytime he makes a pass though. And that's what I am getting tired of seeing.
Oh trust me, Steve, I would tell him to his face and he'd do nothing about it but like it. Lol. People race hard everywhere not just there in D34, and there is this thing called racing etiquette that involves racing clean and hard while not endangering the well-being of your competitors. Justin crosses that line and is consistently the only one riding that way week in, and week out. Hence, the earned reputation. When you behave that way on the public stage, people will voice their opinion of your behavior on their public stage. And, when guys who are faster than him and ahead of him in the points are basically calling him a reckless idiot on national TV, I think my opinion has much backing by the pro's. A person's behavior determines weather they earn the RESPECT or the CONTEMPT of their peers. He has earned contempt. I was unaware that Malcolm had been warned about pushing already. In that light, he earned his reprimand. The fine was a bit high IMO but warranted.
I got to go to Daytona SX and Malcom was impressive, rock solid and good starts. I think the problem is this is the second time he has shoved another rider after an incident, and he had been warned after the first time. I am looking forward to seeing him race the 450's in the future, but he will need to keep his emotions in check if he wants to hang onto a good ride.
St Louis superX saw Barcia pick on another large dude - Peick. Barcia rode it in really hard even tho Peick was letting him have the spot Barcia gave no quarter and Peick nearly went down as Barcia took out his front wheel. Really would like to have heard what Peick told him as they rode off the track after the checker - with a little elbow for emphasis. It was really interesting in the next heat race when Stewart put a hard pass on Dungey but gave Dungey enough room to ride and Dungey surrendered the spot that had been taken. And then in the main Stewart put a hard pass on RV and again gave RV enough room although RV had already leaned and had a hard time staying up. I'm afraid I've lost respect for Barcia.
Saw some more dangerous wips this weekend by BamBam with riders close to him........just getting dangerous now. Not cool!
