    Nice quet time today.

Justin Bogle won the 450 Pro Main with Ryan Hughes second and Chris Plouffe 3rd.

Antonio Hernandez, who hadn't lost a race this week, finally got such a bad start he only managed to come from 32nd place to 5th in the 450 Junior Main. I don't think ANY rider was faster and there was a little complaining that he was sand-bagging but he is pretty young .....

Jamie Lanza (met his folks on the bus to the site) made the 450 Pro final and ended up about where he qualified, around 24th. He's mostly a desert racer/Endurocross guy so I think he did pretty well. Cory Graffunder was in the 450 Intermediate Final and like Lanza is not a specialist in motocross but got around 12th, where he qualified. Bobby Bonds tangled with another rider on th hill after the start and went down and didn't continue. Never found out exactly what happened.

Ryno on Damage Control 101......get out there fast and shut it down before it gets even bigger and the sponsors start wanting answers for the complete loss of control...

The event itself... not worth all this crap.....Ryno braked and went back inside .... Lapaglia thought he had it wrapped up..... Why did Ryno look back??? why bother?????...he made the pass clean by cutting back in.......and why flag LaPaglia down after the race... ? for what purpose ?

Question: Why the cheesy background music? Black and white video? and lastly........ sunglasses? At least with Kobe, you could see Kobe squirm and you could tell he knew that he fffd up.

How about a short video saying that I apologize for loosing it in an unsportsmanlike manner, inciting and starting a fight after the race and acting like an ass?

I tell you, if Logan or any of my boys would ever do this after one of our little league games with another player , he would be apologizing to his entire team and the other team and all of the parents , front and center in front of God and everyone....its called being and acting like a man.Perfectly acceptable to screw up and have to apologize... you learn from it and build character.

What has happened to personal accountability nowadays?

Sorry for the rant but crap like this gets me going...

Was that a bad lip syncing video? Was he trying to sing along with the music or what? ...And what was the point of doing the video?

You gotta wonder who's idea that was ... Someone needs to be canned over that PR and a second apology given for releasing it ... I'll give Ryno a pass here ... but that was not too cool ... it sounded like they have some bad history well before that race ....

Dark glasses after a fight are normally hiding a black eye ... That was a pretty wicked left jab #31 threw out ...

The pass and counter move looked acceptable and safe enough to me ... They are PRO racers, right?

Lots of judgements from one non-thinking aggro act......man I would really be on y'alls s*&t lists if you listed all the crap I've pulled in my "adult" life. Like my last street fight (last year) with my 2 daughters standing by watching (I won that one, pheww). I could have walked away easily, but the fight, not the flight side was turned on. scene was a 7/11 parking lot people everywhere yelling and cars stopping to watch, a real freaking show. dumb yes apology no, some explanation maybe.
(that back ground music was utter nonsense) violins maybe? just kidding. I love you guys just don't close me out with a block pass....brake checks are ok. Let's move on, Ryan is really a pretty solid no-nonsense individual with crazy strong moto-emotion (a new psych word) and 5th gear pinned drive. He is a man and men get worked up and do feisty stuff, like fight, make war, play hard sports, race etc. etc. (my 2 cents, and I'm done with this)

Funny that people get so worked up over a little scuffle at the mx track while people are murdered nightly in every major city (and some not so major cities) in America and I never hear a complaint about that. I didn't think this was a big deal, but leave it to mx journalism to spin it into something big. This sport is getting more soap opera-like every year.

Anyway, I had a great weekend. The fast youngsters were blazing fast. Chris Aldridge, Justin Hill and Justin Bogle were putting on clinics. Justin Hill had the fastest lap of any pro on Sunday and Bogle absolutely handled Ryno in the 450 pro race. Bogle and Hill are the real deal. No if's, and's or butt's.

I spoke with Justin Bogle after his win and he was such a nice and well spoken kid that I am an instant fan. I cant wait to see what he does at Unadilla when he starts his AMA pro career. His aggression in the corners is amazing. He was railing the horse shoe turn so hard I thought his roost was going to take the fence down.

Justin Hill looked like a carbon copy of his brother Josh on the bike. Jersey flying out the back and super smooth style. I was heartbroken for the kid when his KX250F gave it up during the 250 INT final on Sat. He had his redemption on Sunday though by winning the 450 INT by a large margin. I also talked to him and his parents after the awards ceremony and they're very cool people. Talked about Josh's injury, Justin's career, the fast kids in the PNW and their battles with neighbors and Clark County years ago.

I also really liked some kid named Tilford. He was riding for Vance & Hines Yamaha and Alan Olson was truly giving the kid fantastic support. In fact, Olson was still was tuning on Tilford's bike while the 30 second card was out and the race officials had to remove him before he got drug down the start straight. He is one dedicated individual and his ethic rubs off on the riders.
Here's a quick clip of one of one of Tilford's starts:

ZipTy had a great pit presence and excellent location. I was super impressed with Lanza's ride in the 450 race. He started a little slow, but by lap 5 he had it dialed and was hauling ass. His last corner pass on the last lap had me jumping and screaming and almost tumbling down the hill. The kid is super fast for sure. It did appear that the Husky's were getting pulled on the big hill. The bikes appear to work amazingly well, but they appeared to be down on power vs. the heavy hitters. Hate to say it, but it is what it is..... hope they can find some more power in the new motors.

I heard quite a bit of complaining about Hernandez, especially from the guys staying next door to us whose kids have to race againts him. Hernendez is 21 y/o racing against 16 & 17 y/o kids is the word I heard.

I forgot to bring CF cards for the nice cam (duh), so I had to settle for the point n' shoot.

I wanted a view of the track so I headed up the north hill. I was searching for the perfect spot and then I found a sign. Looks like this is supposed to be my spot!

I had a blast and am going to try to make this a yearly event. I'll try to get up early next year and try to make it into one of the practice sessions as the track is absolutely moto heaven and I'd sell a kidney to ride it.

The smokers were representing too. Someone got 2nd on a KTM250 in the 450 JR class (I think) and was challenging for the win. It was 125 vs 250F's and 250 vs. 450F's... even though I thought amatuer racing was cc vs. cc., I guess not this race though. Got a few more vids uploading, but the internet here is pretty slow. I'll update later.

    THX PC!!! Brilliant.
This is only an exhibition race....however: it is chance (kinda like Loretta's) for the Ammies to show the (local) factory/and support teams/sponsors what they can do.

Yeah, I love this event. Kids pitting out of pickup trucks racing against Pro Circuit and Factory Connection amatuer riders, family and friends cheering on their riders, open access to all the riders and very family like atmosphere... except for Ryno and ML [IMG]. Plus the nightlife is rocking when the moto circus is in town.

I've been here so many times in the winter but very little in the summer, but I truly think the summertime is best. MX racing, trail riding, mtn biking down the mtn, pulling rainbows from the lakes and streams, hiking in Reds meadow, rainbow falls, devils postpile, trips to Toulomne and Yoesmite Valley, Bodie ghost town, Mono lake and whatever else I'm missing. I live in a very beautiful place, but my jaw drops everytime I come here. Mammoth is certainly a rare gem.

Look at these boys battling for the win in the 250 class. That last corner pass was incredible!

    That is a sweet rock!

Here's lap 1 and 2 of the 2 stroke final. Lapaglia is trying like hell to battle Hughes, but as you can see by lap 2 ryno had it handled. Although he did have a peek over his shoulder to see where he was.

I met the Zip Ty team at Honey Lake...I think Lanza rides a 310 TE with mods obviously so no wonder he was down on power.
