As I was going through some photos of before the NE Husky gathering while I was proofing the trails and ensuring arrows were up and the course marked appropriateley to ensure all attendees were able to ride and not get lost. Of course there were some tree slapers that needed trimming and a few place that deadfall had occurred. A friend was working at taking a few sample shots to make sure they had the right setings for all photos and that the speeed and light and all that other cmaera stuff was just right. Well I happened to see several times that ribbon on the grass track was down, and some arrows even appeared to be missing. Of course we all know the deer do run around in the woods and they don't see the ribon at night but the missing arows had me puzzled. Coul it be asswipe kids? I did not se any quad tire tracks so the thought of quad morons was out. It wasn't until I noticed some arrows had a problem...............not that they were missing............they were pointing the wrong way. And to make matters worse, "W's" were up on the course along the correct route and arrows were diricting riders into some nasty areas like bottomless swamps, and deep streams and one even off a vertical cliff. If I caught this SOB he was gonna pay. Well I did see him and catch him in the act but he fired on me and I had to duck for cover due to being unarmed and after I said hell with it I am gonna get him, he elduded me. All be on the lookout for the below guy..........he will try to ruin any bike race. I hear he rode for a team along time ago and still wears their logo on his clothes. See below for image.

    Sincerely,
    Joe

I'm so glad that wasnt a husky buried in the mud. You would be sentenced to thirty days in the electric chair.

I think the husky would've made it, but, I would never risk it. I love this bike and though I have the urge and feeling I can go through, over or around anything, I must admit, I think about it very carefully first because I really love my bike!

Typically I seem to be the one packing a camera (or at least using it), so have very few "riding" pics of myself......don't know if I called them awesome, but did find some.

1st is scan of 23 yrs old pic on the only Honda I ever owned ('84 XR350).....for those old enough to know what it is, was taken w/110 film camera
Others are actually on my Husky, from a gentle little trail ride only a couple months ago (the 2nd, a still from video clip).

That "gentle little trail" looks a bit like the Emma Creek Trail in the Sawtooths.

Oh, and I used to have a Vivitar 110 :)

Very good.......you're close, but these are few miles farther West / Southwest.
One in roots is little below Southside of Ross Peak coming up from Skeleton Ck, the one in rocks in going down Willow Ck
(all part of a burn that start 2wks after we rode it http://www.inciweb.org/incident/pictures/1471/ )

Well, crap! Instead of feeling all smart for guessing, I feel kinda dumb since Willow is one of my favorite trails there. It's my favorite route up to the beautiful S. Fork Ross Fork junction...

I had no idea that place was on fire! We were in ID during that time, but we went up to the Clearwater instead. Good thing, I guess. Man, that's a total bummer. Have you been there since the fire? I read the description of the trails affected and those are some of my favorites in the area. Thanks for posting the link.

They only recently opened area back up and I haven't had time to ride lately, but from what I'm hearing from relative living up there, and looking at those forest service photo's, I don't expect it to be too bad.

Those pics look familiar :)........if all my riding was in that part of the state, I would really have to rethink having a 50+hp 510.
