I hate the Maxxis IT :D Works horrible on mud and clay which is 90% of what I ride. The SI is OK.

Really? im surprised. I know a few people that run the SI's (they all race GNCC and enduro) and another friend who occasionally uses the IT and he also races GNCC and Enduro (they all race the local harescrambles when they can make it as well) and they seem to like them. You should try the Pirelli Motosportz if you ride a lot of mud and rocks. A AA guy who races up in New England told me about them and he sweared by them and they turned out to be really popular in the end, and i liked them too.

Maxxis are a very good tyre but imho are bettered by the Motoz in terms of durability, traction and puncture resistance.

For the size I need, they are listed as "currently unavailable." Hard to buy something that does not exist. Maxxis is easy to find in a wide range of sizes.

Who do you get them from in Alaska and what models are you looking for because most everything is in stock at the distributor in California.

I like the SI OK, the IT flat sucks here on our clay based mud. IMHO Tires are VERY subjective. I have tried many Pirelli and i generally like them. The mud type ones seem to shed side knobs faster than i would like.

Well i don't think the maxxis would be that great where you ride, but i think the MT16 would be. However, the 18inch 120 width MT16 is a BIG tire, it even looks big and bulky, but my yz turned it okay, but im worried about putting it on the 310. Idk if it will have the power to turn it without bogging down at all.

I was interested in trying the Tractionator X-Circuit. I was thinking a 110 for the rear and an 80 up front.

    Would a 100 be a bit small for a 310?
