As long as you get the bead line to show all the way around. Mine was tucked in 12 inches and no way was I going to ride fast like that. It probably would pop out, just wouldn't be confident. Glad you got it to work.
Right when i saw the picture that showed the 100 series tires and the spoon holding the tire back and no lip (rim saver) I realized it does not have a big step. Sorry about the confusion. I was scratching my head how it was right all the way around without the bead setting. Mystery solved.
