Robert, I ended up putting on the 8 cell Ballistic last night. I pretty much followed your tips on installation. I see where you wrapped the subframe in thick rubber electrical tape, since it sits taller and could ground.
    Thanx for tips.

    Makes the bike kinda cranky!

    Yes, she cranks.

This am she doesn't want to crank fast because of cold temps. Common issue with the lithium batteries. Nor did my drill want to work till it got warm.
That's ok cause that's going to change in couple of weeks.

Your mods make me look like the parts changer I am, I have been doing my 12 TE511 since FEb., nothing as
cool as your stuff. Where are you in Illinois? I use Halls, they are really great.

    Thanx for compliments.

Halls is great. Where are you located?

Those 511 are good bikes almost bit on one.

I am in Edwardsville, il., 80 miles south of Springfield. Took the TE to the woods today with my son, thought
I 'd never get it cleaned back up. It ran great, torque monster, the 606 dunlaps kept packing up making it
Skittish. I ride at splinter creek, in fosterburg, ILL. Suspension job from halls, really is nice.

    James,

Yes know where you are. Never been that far south to Fosterburg, riding or racing.

Sounds like you had a good day of riding. Glad you like your boinkers.

That has to be a nice bike.

I bet you're,glad you got to ride, cause I think your weather is gonna turn for the worse.

Maybe some time, Evan and I can head down for some riding. I would like to take a 511 for a spin just to see how they handle with the CTS system.

I ripped on mine today pretty good. It was like grip then slip. Some areas, frost was out of ground then you'd hit a frost area and just spin and slide. I ran mine couple times across a plowed field just to adjust my suspension clickers some more.
I did have fun building a few berms and roost turning with the rear in 3 and 4th gear hammers.

I will say that this New 310 is the a blast to ride. I've had alot of bikes and this has to be my favorite bike, by far!

I was going to race tomorrow but again, looks like snow and 34 degrees temps. Too bad it wasn't today.

Oh, well have to unload and stack straw tomorrow and if weather not too bad, go get a load of hay.

    Never a dull moment.

I am 11 miles from splinter creek. Come down and ride some weekend, and yes you could rides my bike.
Our weather is going to be bad for the next week or so, but won't be long and it will be sweet.
I am an old slow guy, but love to ride, I work all the races at the club, but will try to ride a harescrambles and
would like to ride my first enduro...

    James,

Sounds good. I have never run an enduro and should.

Have you posted pics on your bike?

You might need to put a snow blade on your bike today.

Hi. I went looking for a WR 300 and couldn't fine one in my neck of the woods. Rode the shop owners 2013 and then he talked me into riding the TXC 310. He saw the smile and then he added to my smile by telling me about the factory rebate. Bought it on the spot and am still grinning from eat to ear. This bike replacesy WR450 and my KX 250. Happy as can be. Now I have to wait for my favorite single track to open up to really test her. Quick question. The screen in front of the air filter. Do I keep it or trash it. The red cone is the open cone. I have the starter recall parts to put in still, just waiting on the puller. Any suggestions on the proper break in also?

Thank you. Did i say how happy i am? The lightness to this bike and the balance is unreal. I loved my Yamaha WR450 alot but the weight and steering on it was just too much for me to keep up. I have a feeling once I get some practice on this bike that won't be an issue.

I thought that was there to prevent a backfire from igniting the air filter?
