I was hoping you would make it from a sheet of aluminum so I could make a mold for carbon fiber ones...

Here is another oil line guard I fabbed up this am.

Not sure which one I like? The Round Bar one, Spideyman? Or the Flat one with emblem, Sling Blade ?

Not a lot to bolt to and also cover the line.

I also used a 10 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch Zinc, Compression Spring that I threaded on whole length of line. Had to cut about an inch and a half off. I crimped the spring on both ends. So if something grabs the line, it also has to pull the spring as well.

New map switch is in and on it's way. Will let you know what I think. Suppose to get colder by weekend so should be able to test it.

I also am working on another oil line guard that I think will work better.

Doesn't say for 12's. There is another switch part # 8000H0590.

I would call and ask for Jeff @ Halls. He would know for sure.

Or maybe Tinken can ask Ty or he might know.

Ah, quit poutin and go get one. I was either going to get the Ktm 200 or 350f until I heard the reviews about the 310R from riders after the demo rides. I didn't even rule out getting a new 125er and 165ing it.
Also, I looked at the Ktm price tags and choked.

If you rode mine you'd be at the dealer gettin one.

    Why?

Power is there. Like a 250 on steroids but not a 450. Think its perfect mix.

    Keihin injection is great.

    Handles great.

    Still has the Husky roominess.

    Electric start.

    Got my map switch.

Suspension, was harsh up front but I don't know of any boinkers that don't need tuned/resprung.

Can also get the aftermarket ECU with the comp programmer. Looks like GET Athena set up.

    Looks sharp birdy.

Right now I have an aluminum skid plate that I am building. Was hoping to post it but ran out of tig gas.

It will use the bolt up front then I am designing it so I can use one bolt in rear with a speed nut. Hoping that when I change oil, 2 bolts and it is off.

It wraps around like the guard above. I was studying the one also from Enduro Engineering.

I also went and got another zinc spring for oil line and fed it on. If you leave it a little long. It pushes the oil line back almost against the engine. I think between the spring and new skid plate, it is covered.

Here is the skid plate I am currently working on. Seems to be as light as the plastic one.
I did a couple different designs and cut it down to this. I also incorporated a section to cover the oil line, bottom banjo fitting. Also, going to leave the previous guards off since the spring thing worked great.

I also cut the Husky gunsight emblem out of aluminum and dont know if I will incorporate it or not.

    1. I could drill holes and weld it from the backside and mount it to the front of skid plate?
    2. I could cut it at a slant and incorporate it, by welding it on the ignition side?
    3. Leave as is? Don't want an overkill and look to gaudy?

All I have left is a trip to Welding Supply place and get another bottle of gas. Then take my time and put some nice welds on it.
This plate will use stock bolt up front then a speed nut and bolt in rear. I found a rounded head bolt like one up front. So oil change/cleaning is a matter of two bolts for removal.

Once I get it all welded up/sanded/polished. I will post some pics up next weekend.
