Thanks much! My wife will be in your fair city in a little over a week's time. Maybe I should have her pick me up some tires. She'd loooove to carry those on the plane for the ride home!
Please order them from me via Email as i don't carry everything here. Might need to drop ship. BTW i just got some Dez HT's for my DS bike. They are HUGE and gnarly.
Just got my Terrapactor's front and rears. Very fast turn around, Thanks Kelly. These tires look assume, I can't wait to put them on. Walt
I've been using the X-circuits on my KTM 450 EXC. They are wonderful! The S-12s worked pretty well, but these are much, much better. Great feel when sliding, but good traction when needed. I've used them in mixed conditions. Sometimes hard, dry. Sometimes muddy. I think the damp soft ground they work better in- but I guess that is no surprise. Highly recommended. Mark
I switched an Enduro S/T on to the front of my 610 last weekend and am VERY happy with the performance of the tire. Coupled with the X-circuit (turned backwards) I think I've found a winning combo The front end feels very planted and I found myself really pushing it this past sunday on a 50mi ride through southern Ohio. One of the guys I met that morning thought I was on a smaller bike and in his words: "man I coulda swore your bike was a 450 by the way you were throwing it around!" huh, who woulda thunk? Looking forward to trying one of the Enduro I/T's on the rear this spring and have a set of Traculas for the fall/early winter slop sitting in the shop just waiting their turn. So far I'm very happy with the Motoz line and Kelly's top notch service makes it all that much better. cheers, Mike
Good stuff guys and thanks for the nice comments. I ahve been running the Terrapactor now that things are getting wetter around here and LOVE them. Might be my favorite tires ever. Very confidence inspiring and the front flat hooks up opn everything. Now the bad news. The US distributor is running out of fronts and sets. New container should be here end of October. I sure hope so as I have people waiting. Thanks.
I had a chance to try out my new Motoz Enduro IT's Saturday in a wide variety of conditions from perfect dirt, to wet roots & mud, to snow and rocks. They worked great! Cant wait to try some of the soft terrain tires on the motocross track and in the mud. Later,
Kelly, Myron said he loved the Tracula tires. I think he is going to order two more sets so he has them on hand. Probably a set each of the Tracula and the Terrapactor like you sent me. I haven't been on my bike in a month. Worst case of tendinitis in my right arm I have ever had. My doc is threatening to put it in a cast if I can't stop working with it. I really need to it to snow on the golf course. OBTW, learning how to hit my mouth with my left hand with the beer mug after a few is an issue. Walt
Kelly, Does your distributer have more tires in stock now? I think Myron and I will put in a combined order as soon as they are available again. Thanks, Walt
Email me. We can do something. A few weeks before the next container arrives. i have been running the Terrapactor and love them. The Tracula handles awesome but has slightly less bite than the terrapactor on the stuff we ride here. the Enduro S/T is the only one I have not run now and just ordered one.
Please keep me on your list for two 140/80-18 and one 90/90-21 Desert HTs. I'll take them as soon as you get them.
Got your Email. thanks. Forum names and real names and to many people keep me confused 38.62 percent of the time.
I have the Terrapactor S/T. Initially I really hated this tire. I nearly pulled it off after the first ride. I played with pressure from 10 to 18 and could not get it to hook up well or feel planted. It did get better as it rounded off a bit, but not as good as my Pirelli's ever were, and it was by sheer accident that I discovered it's sweet spot. I decided to run this tire in an enduro that I knew had the potential to be a real swamp. Heeding the advice of a friend there, I decided to run low pressures and went with 8psi in the rear, which I usually run in my trials tire. The first loop started off pretty good. The tire was doing pretty decent at 8psi, considering the conditions. However, what turned out to be a leaky valve core had me nearly flat by the 3rd check. It was not noticed by me, but pointed out by a guy on my minute...I would have never known on my own I don't think. As the pressure fell, it just kept hooking up better and better. I must have ridden the last 15 miles of the loop on less than 2psi. And loved it. Even on the grass track section it behaved beautifully. I'm sure the stiff sidewall, Moose tube and 2 beadlocks saved the day. I lost no time because of the loss of air. Probably gained position. I changed cores, aired up, gassed up, and was off to loop 2 without incident. Finished 2nd 250B. I have since played around with the pressures. 6psi is the magic number for me. I know it's low, but that's where it really comes alive. Almost like a trials tire but with side knobs. I am very happy with it's performance, and I loaned my wheel to a buddy just an hour ago so he could try it on his WR144.
What type of terrain? I really like the terrapactor and thought it works good on a lot of stuff. Everyone around here likes S12's and i think this is better. As far at tire pressure I agree, Motoz tend to like less. the Tracula is kind of stiff and with 7-8 PSI (I usually run 11-12) it hooks up well. I'm afraid to try lower because of possible pinch flats.
Tight woods, 1st to 3rd gear stuff. From muddy and slimy to loamy to occasionally dry and powdery. Usually lots of logs and roots, and lots of climbing. Very little rock. I've hammered it through the log sections at a pretty good speed and not pinch flatted yet...I weigh 155, maybe that helps? To me, there is a big improvement in traction dropping from 8 to 6psi in the slick stuff. I rode with Razor last night , for the heck of it started at 8. I was all over the place in the damp leaves over wet trail. After a couple of laps I stopped, dropped it to 6psi and magic! Most guys around here use S-12's. I found the Pirelli MT32 to be my favorite knobby before. I still use the Scorpion Pro on the front. I really cannot believe the difference in performance of this tire from day one at 12+psi to now at 6psi.....I went from thinking it was awful to really liking it. And I think Razor does too after his laps yesterday on my TXC. He'll be trying it on his bike this weekend.
