Nomadic Rack on my TE511

Will see how compatible it is with my 2012 model

So now how are we going to turn the rotopax into a Nomad tank ! Haha.... I'm thinking put a second tank in front of the first and set it vericle on the seat, bunggie cord it with a cushion and use it as a back support for the freeway rides , maybe some highway pegs too ! lol

I got my rack today ! Very stout and bullet proof . Now I want to make a custom carbon fiber copy for myself lol

I am now totally convinced after four days of hooliganism in Death Valley that having anything on the seat/fender behind me is a no go.
I had my Nomad and five, 1 liter bottles of gas to make up for the storage issue (this still wasn't enough fuel for the good trips out there.)
The crap in back made it all but impossible to ride hard because my ass kept hitting the stuff on the fender.

I may be switchin' brands if the Safari is a long ways out.

Ok , just don't put any pokey things back there and I can take my rotopax off and put it in the back pack.

My ass hurts just thinking about it . The safari tank sounds like the ticket .

So has anyone figured out how much seat you lose, and how much it will cost?

I dont see any thick plastic to thread in the front mount bolts on the 2012 fender ... Must be the guy who had the 2011 bike that gave Justin the idea to make it fit good ..... I will make it work somehow i guess.

I am interested in the IMS tank but rarely will use it's capacity in a day , I don't do any freeway miles unless I have too... I'm simply looking for a way to transport small items on a rack to lighten my back pack load . I find this rack is extremely low profile and flat wich is really good for me cause some times when dropping down tight rock sections I need the fender room . The 5 gallon chemical jug would be for those smooth dirt forest roads and pavement where you need to go deep into the interior to get to the single track . By then you have used half your fuel. I like to keep the stock room for body positioning on the good trails and the weight down. The IMS is a hard sale for me because of price and you need to modify your seat and remove the tank to get to your air filter... I need a convertible setup .

Anyone wanting this rack for a 2012-2013 you need to know that you will have to build your own front mount support as these racks are design around the 2011 tail section. The main bracket that bolts to the sub frame fits but it's the new design plastic fenders of the 2012 and up doesn't have a thick plastic to screw into for the racks front mount.

What price? Never saw a price or an estimate on deliveries. 5.5 is way too much capacity but Ill take it.

Im actually playing with the BYOB tool on the 'other' Italian bike. Might be a go.
