Bolting anything to the plastic is a problem waiting to happen IMO, this is a good thing you cant use it.
I saw a guy with two rotopacks bolted to his tail on a 449 last weekend, not sure how long that's going to work.

It is certainly not for everyone, but for certain applications, it works fantastic.

I had a rotopax in my back pack and hit a rock jump in fourth gear and bike landed on a rock/cased it before the wheels touched down. Threw me on my back with the rotopax it cushioned it perfectly :)

I will need to make a skid plate for it and mount a mud flap/rock shield when I bomb up Chulkwalla with it :)

Aarrggghhhh!, first the Nomad tank does not properly fit the contours of the 2012 fender, now the Nomadic rack doesn't mount to the 2012 fender. Anyone have success fitting this rack onto the 2012? Have any picks of what you did with the front mount for the rack?

no husky applications on the web site, but looks simple enough to build

I really do not want a major side discussion cause it will not be found easily, but if you are interested in that product - it will fit all Husqvarna bikes except the tr650, and he is working on the tr650 (at least I hope he is). If you are considering making your own from scratch... best of luck, you are more skilled than I.

I did a 120 mile ride Saturday, 60% pavement, 30% graded dirt, 10% single track. Had plenty of gas left over after adding that 1 gal from the rotopax. Had a small tool bag strapped on top of the rotopax and only felt it back there a couple of times. Bummer if the Nomadic rack doesn't fit the 12' and 13', but I would bet Justin has some ideas if not a solution already

Hey guys they now list one for the 2012/2013 I assume 2014 also. Does this rack bolt to the subframe or just the plastic?

On my 2011, the main bracket bolts to the sub-frame. The front of the rack screws into hard plastic and one screw has been stripped for awhile. However, since the main bracket bolts almost in the middle of the rack, it takes almost all of the load. Looks like the 12-13 has a bent tube that bolts to the exhaust mount. Probably a little stronger. The best thing I like about the rack is that I can use it to drag the ass end around in a pinch. :D

Well, I have installed this rack and pounded the heck out of it on a trip to Colorado carrying a wolfman bag and 1 gallon rotopax. Never slipped and never had any issues doing 500+ miles of passes including Black Bear Pass with some serious drops and boulders. Just my two cents worth. Here is mine. With some personalized machining :)[IMG]
