Fixed you image, hope you enjoy your new machine. Nice looking bike you got there.

One thing is you need to remove the anchor off the rear fender. All that added weight breaks the rear fenders on these bikes. Some have broke in 10 minutes of dirt road.

Also, you can keep records from day 1 http://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/husqvarna/tr650

    Hi guys new here,
Just bought a terra yesterday, just waiting till winter breaks then I'm looking forward to taking her out, one of the plans is to ride over to Ireland in May then take it around Scotland as I live on the borders,
As you can see from my aviator picture I ride a BMW 1150 gs rallye that I stripped then reprinted and put back together, also ride a BMW 1200GSA, kawasaki klx 250 the plan was to ride the BMW 1150 across Russia, Mongolia, back into Russia then to magadan, I had a little spill damaged the bike, so I've decided to take something a bit lighter, so the terra looks the business I've put some parts together that I think will make it more user friendly, engine bars, gear lever adjuster, set of touratech metal panniers with frames, sw hand guards, heated grips, taken the exhaust off, replaced with the single gpr, sounds great, thinking I may reduce the rear number plate holder as it looks useless,
I think I'll be looking at a radiator guard, I'll be adding USB power so need to look at where to take power from switched or battery.
I'm impressed with the bike, the build quality is good, so now just looking forward to taking her out, I want to ride roads and trails to assess what the bike will do with full touring kit, looking at the rear shock it will be interesting to see how I get on with it,

Mate, that sounds like a great ride. I have respect for anyone who even considers that type of trip. Hope you keep us up to date with your planning and then the trip if/when it eventuates.

For a trip like that you'd probably want to forget the radiator guards and go for the Safari tanks, which also act as good radiator guards. I haven't got them on my bike, but I was having a close look at the Terra owned by the guy who designed and makes the Safari tanks, and they are really really sturdy and probably provide better radiator protection than probably any crash bars. Full they increase the fuel capacity to 32 litres. Not sure if it would be possible or practicable to keep them isolated, so that questionable fuel could be kept in a separate tank for use only when running low, because I'm sure you'll be buying a lot of questionable fuel on such a trip.

    Hello

Thought I would share some photos of my recent trip (Nov 13) from Brisbane, Queensland- Bourke to Broken Hill following the Darling River in New South Wales and back home via Hay, Young and Armidale. Great trip and the bike went a treat over 4,000 kilometres. I slow off in 'bull dust' south of Bourke though no damage luckily. Fuel range was excellent and handling of dirt/tarmac was great..

A bunch of us went to Phillip Is for the World Superbikes. Four of us, three on Terras and another on a WeeStrom took the direct route from Canberra through the Snowy Mountains and the Victorian Alps. The Huskies faired well, apart from mine having the cooling problem mentioned on another thread which was fixed by bleeding the system to get the air out. The three carbon fibre/kevlar bash plates held up well. Here are a few pictures:

Nice collection of bikes :) All 3 set up identically from the looks of it, bashplates and barkbusters. Care to share a map of your trip route ?

Nev, they are all a bit different. For starters, mine has ABS and hence, a 17 in rear wheel. Go figure! All three have Barkbusters, a carbon/Kevlar bash plate, SWMotec centre stand and pannier racks. Two have SWMotec crash bars while the other has a steel tubular crash bar that is wrapped in carbon fibre. As for a map, that might be a little difficult since my job was to stay rubber side down being as that I am new to dirt. I could pm you a narrative of he route if that helps.

I rode my Terra on the CDR this past September. A two week, nearly 4,500 mile trip. It performed flawless.

Just finished a Ride Report on ADV: "Terra-izing the CDR" if your interested in seeing it in action. Lots and lost of photos of my Terra in revealing poses.
