FMF claims 15% more power, but we think it's closer to 8% hp which is still very good. I did notice that the added back pressure the megabomb header provides the cylinder at low rpm helps to prevent the flame out issues in this area.

The only two fmf silencers that fit the megabomb for the TC449 is the factory 4.1 and the Q4. The 4.1 is best for power, Q4 for quietness. You'll need the TC449 head mounts, gasket and springs too.

    Hi all,

just joined as a first time supermoto owner. I've ridden sports bikes for many years and just got plain bored of 'em so I've bought this little beasty!

Now, being used to 2 or 3 times as much power as these things produce, I was obviously a little surprised when I first rode a 'tard so thoughts of tuning came to mind which bought me here...

I've yet to see my new purchase in the flesh, have placed a deposit on it and going to see it tomorrow. There's receipts for somewhere in the region of £7k parts according to the dealer, including excel rims, xtrig yokes, body work, pro-taper bars, sprocket, pegs etc.

It's listed as having a full Akra system but I'm not convinced, can someone identify what's going on with the exhaust from the pic? Is it standard header with CF guard or is it indeed a full system? who knows, maybe the previous owner is on here!? What are the gains when changing the header?

I don't know if race map II is selected, if not do I need a full system to release the most power or is it "nearly" there with the standard header?

Thanks in advance for any advice, look forward to chatting with you guys, Jon.

Just spoke to the dealer who informs me that there is a plug in the exhaust header where the O2 sensor was. This suggests stock header to me, right?

Looks like stock header with the Akra muffler. Should be a good start. You can make it in race map 2 mode with a jumper in the jumper plug under the seat.

Nice job! I wish FMF had an exhaust hanger like the Akro instead of it being riveted. I have the FMF Q4 disassembled to chop it, going to remove the 'Q' from the equation.

Hey there, I've recently bought an smr511, it's got the akro exhaust already and modified the airbox, and the previous owner actually went down a few teeth on the back for highway and track riding (fairly long straight). Does anyone know where to buy some replacement plastics besides from Husqvarna because the ones on are mint and I'd like to keep them that way haha. And does anyone know of some good handgaurds/sliders, especially an exhaust one as I'd hate to lay it down on it!! Thanks in advance. :) any other must haves or suggestions welcome.

UFO make replacement plastics for the TE, which I have on my smr.
Got a exhaust slider from a group buy organised by martyd on supermotoaus that has held up fairly well.

Cheers :) yeah I saw the ufo ones but wasn't sure if there were any differences in the te/smr, have to look into it. :)
