    A 46mm TB is pretty big and the injector can push much more air/fuel than what is needed (considering the new husaberg 501 delivers 60HP and has a 42mm TB). No, I think the bottle necks are in the air filter/porting. The 477cc jug is the big bore kit for the 449. It was originally created by SpeedBrain as 480cc. It might be possible to sleeve the cylinder larger, but finding a piston larger than 101mm might be tougher. The 511 jug will fit on the TC449 head, though you may have to mill the head in order to keep the 13:1 compression due to the increased bore size.

    Husky sell a 480 kit for the TC, it's mentioned in a brochure somewhere.

    I send speed brain a message they said they do nit offer anything. And yeah I don't know if the 13:1 comes from the head in the TC or the piston? Part # for the 480 kit and compression ratio?

    What I understand the TB on TC has one butterfly and the TE ad SMR has two - but I bay be wrong! I think if the SMR butterfly could be reduzed a bit and put the cams from the TC you should have sorta the same HP when adjusted with a PCv

    The TC & TE/TXC/SMR TB's are different. I am not sure what is different between having one or two butterflys actually acomplishes. The amount of air&fuel available from a D46 TB on a TE/TXC/SMR far exceeds what is required, even on a fully ported & polished system.

    One of the great features on the PCv is that you have two independant maps that can be changed on the fly with a handlbar switch. Everyone will have one map that produces the most amount of power available, maybe even greater than that of the TC mappings. Having a second mpg map that leans across the board or leans more in the lower rpm range to conserve fuel would be handy on street and dual purpose machines. This is beyond the capabilities of the JDtuner, but it is twice as expensive and more involved than the JD.

    I think we are safe in assuming that you will have similar HP with TC cams and the PCv. Increasing your cc's to 477 will yield higher torque and aproximately 5 hp more than the TC449.

    I dyno'd my 511 yesterday. PCV, FMF, Notoil air filter (looks like OEM), cut air box.

    46,99 hp -> 49,27 hp

    I had installed the PCV earlier and came to the shop with standard exhaust, so we were able to do part throttle comparisons. Gains were really good.
    40% throttle: torque 27 -> 31 Nm, as stock it starts pulling from 2800 rpm, when tuned it pulls from idle.
    60% throttle: torque 34 -> 38 Nm

    And that's stuff you really appreciate when riding. There's zero hesitation, it just goes, when you open the throttle. Brilliant.

    56.01 hp 44.05 tq 2011 TC449 2012 air box, Akro ti exhaust, JD tuner. Took 4 runs to get the A/F mixture correct but the JD tuner is so easy to use. Worked like a champ. I'm very happy with the results and seat of the pant feel over my TE511 is about 5hp so it all sounds about right.

    The Spark pick up was not working correctly so my graph is over mph not rpm. and if flipped the tq and hp I have no idea why, but you get the picture. Photo Sep 28, 5 42 26 PM.jpg Photo Sep 28, 6 21 19 PM.jpg

    Thats some good numbers and glad to see the mixture could be tuned that well with the JD

    not kidding it too 15 min to tune and so simple, responded really well. I'm happy with the bike where it is unless some big bore kits show up soon. I'm not having any luck any where. Still trying to sort out the slipper too.

    Post up your settings mate! Keen to do the 2012 TC airbox mod to my 449 and do the JD tune on a dyno as you've done. Would be great to have a starting point.

    Londin, what one did you go with and what model bike? Jase I'll write them down the next time I'm in the garage.

    Hi. I sent CarpiMoto a message but they have not replied. Will the OEM throttle wire/cables work with this throttle or do you need to buy wires? Thanks Craig

    Suter for the 449/511 TE - only problem was it was rubbing ever so little on the cover but just polished it down a bit and all was good! Got it from Motostrano

    yeah I cant get the suter to work in my TC tried it like 20 times won't stop slipping in high gear, If you have a minute measure the little nub that sticks out of the case under your slave cylinder the next time you have your bike apart? I'm working with suter to get mine to work and they can't figure it out yet. With the suter in there over stock the nub sticks out almost 1mm more. some sort of tolerance stack up issue going on.

    Will do, I send an email to Suter in regards to rubbing on the cover but they had never seen it before! Did you have your JD settings? I'm heading to the Dyno with mine tomorrow and would be good to have a starting point!

    Running a Suter in my SMR511 also, no slipping issues that I've noticed. Lever pull is a bit odd, but I think I just need to bleed the line as I've twisted the banjo on the MC a few times.
