Yeah, they did at least for me. The adjustmets are to the extreme, however.

    Hello -

I have a 2012 SMR511 with the FMF pipe and just got my JD tuner in the mail today. Could someone kindly explain what the "resistor" mod is for these bikes?

I would note that my bike came from the dealer on the Race Map II setting.

    Thanks,
    John

It is a small plug that came with the bike, just plug it on under the seat and it will say race mode on the dash. Super easy. I'm sure there are pics floating around here somewhere.

my bake came in Race Map II form from dealer, so i'd imagine its already installed.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can assist me with part numbers for adjustable levers like the Titax levers below......

Guys with slippers in their bikes (particularly Suters, just wondering what your gear shift is like when doing clutchless upshifts.

On my previous bikes (not 'tard/chook chasers) you'd have to fully load the shifter, and then as soon as you back off the gas it'd shift, not before. With my 511 it'll shift up even if I'm on the gas and push up on the shifter, making for abrupt, sometimes unwanted and massively clunky shifts. You don't need to back off the gas, it'll change anyway.

I'm wondering if it's Suter related or not. I haven't had a chance to ride Jase's stock 449 to see if his bike does it, I just thought I'd see how your gearbox's are.

I have a Suter in my TC449 and the up shift I always let off a little. How are you down shifts that are clutchless? mine seam really high effort and well as the bike is a bit noisy at cold start up with that clutch. All of which have me a bit worried about it.........

Mine rattles quite a bit when in neutral, I assume that's the clutch, I've checked all the bolts in there are still tight (they are) and have gotten used to the noise. As for clutchless downshifts I've gotten them to the point they're pretty smooth, no issues or clunks/grinding.

I've been looking to do the suspension on my SMR (front and rear springs, vavling etc) and in speaking to Dave at Fast Bike Industries in NC, I've an Ohlins TTX in the works all setup for SM (valving, shortening, sprung for my weight) :D all for less than 1/2 the price you can buy the bare shock in TE/TC spec (without a spring) over here. Just need to get the Forks worked on when the shock gets here :D

EDIT: Pity they didn;t have any Ohlins internals for the Zokes going cheap too!

Went to the dealer and came out to the parking lot and install power up map jumper. wow no more stalling at idle, seemed to put power up top maybe because i still have stock muffler on? but now rideable almost got ran over 2 times it would pop and die in traffic. It was funny, I was talking to the service manager and told him that my last supermoto was a drz and how the 511smr was just insane to ride, lighter feel and i was just going on how i love the bike. So he turns to me and says " please wait inside because that guy out there just bought a drz from us and he already paid for it" please wait. so the guy rides off and then he lets me leave.

Prices are half as much if you were to look across zee oceans, order and delivery times about the same too, just sayin'...

Especially with such expensive bits like cams, $500 from OS or $1200 here (fck me sideways, $1200!)

I've given up on comparing prices, basically find a price from elsewhere, double it and you have the AU price :P

Get my part#'s from the parts fiche pdf's :D

Quick question, sorry, new to this forum. I am converting my 09 TE449 to an SM, but have run into a few snags. I originally had a Warp9 kit, but decided to switch them out for a set of factory wheels from a 12 SM511... Rear was a snap, front wheel fits great, 320mm caliper bracket fits, the only issue I am having is finding a front 320mm rotor that will work with the 8mm SM rotor bolts and a radial caliper bracket. The 2002 to 2010 SM rotors are offset and won't work with a radial caliper spacer, not sure if the 12 is a flat rotor or offset like the previous gen. Any suggestions?
