Sorry... just realized that I kept saying radial caliper bracket, I meant axial mount.

Basically, I have a TE449, with SM511 wheels, so I need a 320 rotor that will work with the SM Wheel, but that will also work with the axial mount caliper. Or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you add on your 449/511 the 2012 TC airbox?
I have a 2011 SMR449 with complete Arrow exhaust. Is it better to replace the original airbox with the 2012 TC one?

Mate the bottom part of the 2012 airbox is much more open = more air but you will need a min. of JD tune
If you do a search you will find the info you need.

Not even close. I got smoked by an older KTM525 this summer. And having owned an Aprilia 550 I can assure you THAT is the fastest motard ever. The thing is an outright BEAST and will leave anything in its dust. Of course I had to get rid of it because it kept trying to kill me.

Now you have me worried. I have an FMF on order and just went to a bigger rear sprocket for better low end grunt. By the sounds of it I am in the process of creating a wheelie monster.

Noob question. But I work away from home alot so haven`t had much time on the SMR of late. Can anyone tell me if the SMR511 has a neutral light, just i seem to recall the turn indicator being the neutral light when the bike was new and difficult to select neutral. But now there is no neutral light from what i recall, and no mention in the owners manual.

Had my wheels off for a tyre change and 2 things happened, I noticed something has come loose internally on my revalved forks making it so that one is 20mm longer than the other (will get fixed Tuesday) and my wheels mysteriously became toobless.

New headlight shroud for use at the track, 3 bolts and the stock headlight/blinker shroud is swapped for this :) Just forget to get the little threaded tab bit...

Hey guys what crash protection are you running? I am looking to order some up for a new smr511 I am buying, but searched and can't find axle or frame sliders for these bikes, but I see them in some of the pictures in this thread. Gonna have to make sure it has the race map, then exhaust, and posibly JD Tuner?

Trust me mate, if you want real good sliders---> http://www.axlearmor.com.au/

I was lucky to win a set....had some others already and thought they would just be my backup.....but after unpacking them they went on straight away....and unfortunately tested two weekends ago and they worked! Many has a small inset and a long rod through the axle, these are fully machined so no inserts. From the states you can buy them from http://www.moto-extremes.com/ - The man him self is a motard mad man and has been extremely helpful in providing really good priced motard part for us here in Australia.

Just a note, I have no association with these company's but just really like there product, customer service and there passion for best bang for bucks!

Can anyone let me know if the Arrow Slip On exhaust that is made for the 2011 SMR 511 will fit a 2011 SMR 449? Thanks guys!

Only external difference on the 2 bikes is the VIN and a sticker on the side, it'll fit fine...

R.Stephen is that oil breather hose mod I see on the side of the engine. If so did you make yourself or buy it. I am in need of one bad.

Will do I'm sick of having to clean my filter and air box every second week. Does it comes with all the necessary parts or is it just the breather box and you have purchase the other parts elsewhere such as piping and new oil cap to feed the oil back into the sump?

Interested in doing the same thing for track day. Is that after market product or did you build it yourself? If so, how?
