nuh its all apart so will give it a go in a vice should do the trick

Hi Shaw, once you get the clutch off you will need to pull out the shift shaft as well and then you will see the screw that comes loose in the middle of the shift drum. There should be NO need to split the cases for your problem unless you had trauma to the shifter that could have bent a shift fork. The majority of shifting problems on those bikes are caused by the screw in the end of the shift drum. Just remove the screw and clean it up and give it a bit of loctite to prevent it from loosening in the future.

nah mate haven't cracked the clutch nut yet. waiting for mate up the road to give me a hand but hes on dayshift at work till tomorrow so maybe hava go then. sposed to be going riding too to break in new 165 top end yeehaa so see how we go tomorrow arvo. otherwise will have to wait till next r&r break from work in coupla weeks. also had afl grand final yesterday so that was a write off & nrl grand final today so not much chance either. may get motivated tonight & at least drain coolant, remove pipe if need be & pv cover ready to go. missus buying me some chinga silicone rad hoses for my bday so they'll look pretty when it goes back together. gotta pw50 to get going as well. its all too much might just drink beer instead
