Great day today, just under 300 mi, included a stop at Bill's Motorcycles Plus for the 600 mi service.
Dang, tomorrow I have to go to work. Oh well, about 250 miles today. Weather was fantastic, some drizzle, some sun, loving the Strada...
Niiiiiice, fun little bugger isn't it!? Seems like we have reached a similar dilema.....work, after this? Great pix!
Picked it up this morning and put the bags on it. Got in 120 miles of both street and dirt. Even with all the great things you all have said about this bike, it still way exceeded my expectations. Here is a few pics of the day. View attachment 20352 View attachment 20352
Great pics. Who's tankbag, looks like it works pretty well? I only have RKA bags, and they all have on strap exiting the rear and that doesn't work with the Strada.
Krussell, the tank bag is a Giant Loop Fandango and it is solid and waterproof. I will post up a couple pics tonight, I hope, in the farkles section. I have been enjoying your pics very much. What camera do you use?
I will post some pics of what the Terra is NOT to be used for in the stock set up. I had to abort and was lucky to not lay it down.
An iPhone. Earliest picks are with a 4s, last few sets are iPhone 5. Over the last 5 years or so I went from DSLR, to a Lumix point and shoot, to just the phone. It matches my skill set, and most of the shots are good enough. Sometimes I'll take my Lumix along, but the iphone is always in the inside left pocket of my 'stitch so makes it super easy to pull over and grab a shot.
Here is where you probably shouldn't go with the Terra in stock form. The pics don't make it look too bad, but this is just where I was able to park. The rocks just kept getting bigger and bigger and the road steeper and steeper! It was a work out, but I managed not to go down. It would have been a blast on the TE250!
Good guess, but it is Shelf Road between Cripple Creek and Canyon City. Fantastic road! You start in the high peaks with snow, bear, and elk, but wind up in the desert with red dirt, cactus, and tarantulas.
