Great shot Hansi! What kind of box do you have on the back there? I am looking for a tail trunk and that looks to be a good size.
Thank you Scott. The case is military surplus, used to transport Night-Vision-Goggles like that : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Like-pelica...141?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a331a7ff5
A rainy cold day on GA Old Highway 2 We came across a rather strange cemetary We ended the day with some cider or ''sparkling wine'' as Ga brew law is strange.
I had the chance to ride for a couple of days before todays heat wave started (44c/111f). Even in iron ore rich West Aust, this dirt is really red. A few days on fire trails & overgrown tracks was awesome. Perfect camping weather with an empty campground by a river. -33.83209,116.38712 (close enough - can't find the exact co-ords)
Went for a 'culvert run' today to try and catch a Barramundi or two. You can get them off the side of the road at this time of year, when the creeks are flooded after the monsoon. Unfortunately no Barra today, but a nice ride, nonetheless. View attachment 36345 This creek was under quarantine to stop the spread of a noxious weed. Don't know how casting a lure is going to spread anything, but anyway.... This one was too deep to cross. The termite mounds get pretty big around here. It's beautiful country in the wet season. Horrible in the buildup before it rains though. 35C and 90% humidity.
Nothing as exotic as your photos Chuffa (they are great by the way). But I got out near my home here in Arkansas (USA) yesterday. It was a warm winter day here 60* F (15.5C). Today/tonight it is 8*f (-14.40) go figure. Anyway here is a short video from yesterday. The Terra ate up the terrain. Love this thing.
Great stuff Charlie. I rode through Northern AR/Southern MO a few years ago briefly and it's one area of the USA I'd love to get back to on a bike.
Chuffa, that's beautiful terrain. Terra looks good all mudded up, and a good shot of the B&B plate w/ extension. Morton, a couple hours is better than none. What town is that?
I hosted an Aus fella when he came through here three years ago. Thought it might have been you. He rode a Vstrom too.
Today felt more like a cold spring day then the winter day it should have been. Sun was shining, temps were flirting with 10C. An ideal day for a little ride into the Ardennes. The plan for the day was to have a nice little ride on the Terras and grab some pancakes in Durbuy. A small town in the Ardennes that advertises itself as "the smallest town with city rights in the world". It is actually a very nice place with lots of medieval buildings and tourist traps around every corner. In summer the place is swarming with tourists, but on a cold February day it is pretty calm and pleasant. They even have special parking spots for motorbikes, in view of the many restaurants on the town square. The riding round these parts is pretty nice as well.
