What the hell throw the red on there. I tend to agree with you that its too much black or perhaps its that it is too many different blacks going on.
It does look really good. Good choice in materials. The installer did really good on the raised Husky emblem on the fender
What category to look for to find a Pro? Vinyl wrapping? Your son has good taste. Bacon always makes everything a bit better.
Bacon and grapefruit is gross. So is bacon and oreos. Other than that, bacon is the most amazing food ever.
Search your area for "vinyl wrapping", "screen printing", "vehicle signs", etc. Bacon and grapefruit...sounds as bad as drinking orange juice right after brushing your teeth!
I used 3M Di-NOC CA-421 material. After I got it I read their 1080 Scotchprint is more UV resistant. The 1080 has a darker and glossier textured finish that is supposed to look even more realistic. The Di-NOC is more suited for vehicle interior pieces...but I will just keep it cover with UV protectant.
Its not quiiiiiiiiite the right size....but (if positioned correctly) nobody would ever know but you.
Lol! Sure it may seem like it is going in the direction of a bike that will never see any dirt action but it's not like that. The vinyl was done to get rid of the white (just didn't really care for it) without messing it up. I painted my KLR and was VERY careful in the steps used to do so. A week after I got it all back together I started noticing areas where the paint was flaking off. It didn't take long before it just looked like crap. I didn't want to risk the same thing happening to with the TR so I figured I would give the vinyl process a try. I could have just went with some plain glossy black stuff but I figured that since it was going to be such a task to install on these crazy shaped parts....may as well go with a vinyl that was different. The result was the same as what I set out to do (get rid of the white) but for a few dollars more, it has become something a bit more than just a color change
