Augh! The world's sexiest SM610 reduced to nothing but neatly arranged parts on a work bench...that's a big bummer, Goosedog. By the way, that Ohlins shock is totally wrong for your bike...you should send it to me instead I'll take those pristine header pipes that haven't been smashed up by rocks, too So what's going on with the bike? Oh it’s only Goose’s quest to dominate the 610 universe http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6944
Well, but...wait, I thought he already dominated the 610 world?? Thanks, Muddy. I'd forgotten about that thread. So it sounds like complete and total domination will commence sometime next February. Hide the women and children!! (now where did I put George's phone number?) WoodsChick
Here's a more detailed thread of what I'm doing this winter to the bike. http://www.supermotojunkie.com/showthread.php?t=93147 Which is really just turning out to be a routine top-end inspection after plans fell through for any hopeful horsepower gains. New cam chain, piston rings, stuff that's cheap and will give me some peace of mind for the next 10K miles.
Love that clean bike Nice to see the SMJ crew slowly schmoozing on to the Café Welcome way…I mean Husky3
I've done a few upgrades to my 610 recently--HDB handguards and risers, new grips, Fastway footpegs, billet case saver, Uptite oil cap, Ricochet skidplate (powdercoated black), lighter rear spring, Wolfman tank bag, enduro saddlebags, and dry duffle. I have Avon Distanzia's ready to install. The rear Dunlop is looking square. I'm trying to get the bike all set up for some spring and summer traveling. I got my seat back from Renazco Racing just in time for a ride to Randsburg, CA this weekend. Here are some pics:
Blinker Relocate: - by the time you've got the Grip, MD Roadbook Switch, ICO Switch, and Clutch, there just isn't anywhere else to mount it. Skidplate: - Australian Safari regulations specify that you must have minimum 2 litres on your person, and minimum 2 litres on the bike. In front of the sump guard is a convienient location
Okay, I've got my stop watch out. We'll see how fast you can put it back together. Ready. Set... GO!!!
Here's a pick of me getting stopped by a cop and then being told I was being "cruel" to my dog. Apparently, strapping her to the bike so she'll be dragged or squashed is much safer when I go riding 25 MPH along the beach.
