Nice stand..... I think you're going about that repair all wrong, as I don't see any empty Corona bottles in the background.
Don't you know your supposed to rest the frame rails over the arm of your living room couch for such an operation!
Yeah, I just moved to Seattle from LA and I'm figuring out this season thing of which you speak. Willfully participating in stop & go traffic when I 'could' lane split... I'll never get. Big green bin is the recycling bin, and it's like half full of them. How dare you cast aspersions, I'm a professional dammit. Everybody's a critic! I do wish I'd put it closer to the couch so I could sit and ponder better. This is turning into the project from hell. Project: cam chain and fix broken speedo. I started with the easy, install new sensor on brake caliper. Discovered leaking fork seal. Decided I had enough on my plate so called Les at LT Racing. A revalve is just a little more than a fork seal, so what the heck... So I pull the forks. Since I got the fender off, I guess I better get a new one to 'fix' the rough looking one. Heck, the front end is off the bike, I might as well fix my bent bars and 'look' at the triple. Since I'm getting new bars, it would be silly not to add heated grips. The triple came off with NO tools. Nut was snug, but I wouldn't even call it finger tight So I guess I better order up a new bearing just to be safe. Well, if I re-valve then I better do the rear shock too. If I'm gonna do the rear, I spose I might as well drop the swingarm and lube them bearings. Got the Lynx off and discovered headlight bracket is broke on the 'other' side from the one I already fixed, so I get some fiberglass stuff out... Now, thinking about my busted reserve light, and since I have to commit to a weight for the suspension, wondering how hard it'd really be to mount a remote fuel pump and an IMS. Yeah, should done this before the sun came out...
Sounds like alot of my customers (I'm in residendial remodeling) that started with wanting fresh wallpaper in the kitchen and called me once they got past the cabinets and sheet rock down to the studs.
Took my first solo camping trip last weekend 600 miles on and off road to Bishop CA, took the fishing poll, and had a great time.
610 preped for the Swamp Creek GP next weekend (Triangle Lake, OR). Then I leave the knobs on and add back the street legal bits for the Black Dog Dual Sport in Hood River the following weekend. Pretty versatile for something I commute to work on ... http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showpost.php?p=95594&postcount=393
I'm sure you do not want to know that the 610 is going to be racing around SE Utah this weekend. Perhaps a jaunt down to Lake Powell on the emmigrant trail(hole in the rock). I'll take some pictures for you
Gee...thanks, Todd. I hate you...and I mean that in the nicest way possible I really enjoyed that Hole In The Rock trail a lot! I'll be looking forward to your photos, as usual. WoodsChick
Sounds a lot like when our roof blew off 3 weeks after buying our house 16 years ago. A roof replacement turned into a total kitchen and bathroom remodel, complete with skylights. We haven't done anything to it since WoodsChick
610 Comes Alive! Why didn't I add the Uptite exhaust and Lambda block 2 years ago! It now has the responsiveness which makes the bike feel 100 lbs lighter. I'm so exited I think I'm gonna throw it in the truck with the motocross bike and run it a couple laps on the track tommorow. I wonder if I should use my turn signals? Good info Couple of questions if you don’t mind; How much is the Uptite set ? And how do you go about getting it, I didn’t see the pipe on his site so I wasn’t sure if George had enough and stopped making them or what ? thanks
