no...it's just a random place I decided to put a dashed line... of course it's the fuel level. I don't think there's half capacity left, but it will have to wait until I do top it off to see how much it takes to top it off (couple inches below the cap). There could be a gallon to a gallon and a half in each lobe I suppose, it will be interesting to see. The O2 sensor replaced with the plug that comes with the Leo Vince, airbox baffle maze removed - other than that, bone stock. Be aware too that riding at elevation is good for mileage, it's always a few mpg better up here. Until I top off the tank and do the math I won't know what the mpg is. There were some rough, fast sections in the dirt, but the overall average pace with a group of six stopping to take pictures and such was not tough on fuel. That 220 miles included maybe a total of around 120-ish miles of pavement, 37 of it in the early cool morning getting out of Echo Park to US40 (part 4wd offroad, part paved), 85 miles more from the park entrance to Craig, CO on US40. On the hwy I ran a relaxed pace on a beautiful cool morning....maybe 65mph. Gearing is one down in front, up a tooth in back. Not super low, but you don't have to be going 75 to be in 6th either. Picture I took from the other side - since there was no way to get the bike perfectly vertical, I put the sidestand down on the driveway apron. Those lobes are pretty thin too.
Thompson Peak Lookout. Great way to round out a 150 miler through the Plumas NF and other parts in Lassen Co, CA.
Hi Good question and we are not sure when the seller himself did not knew, for sure!? Probably from a TC / TE 450 2009 and an aftermarket fork of the bike that year.
Went for a nice 200 mile ride on the Olympic Peninsula today with a friend on his KTM 990 Adventure. 1st time the 630 has seen the dirt and it didn't disappoint. View attachment 16629 View attachment 16630 We made it through this patch of snow but were forced to turn around at around 3000 ft elevation due to snow covering the road. Late spring snow in the Pacific NW has many of the roads at higher elevation still buried. View attachment 16631
Painted the heat shield on my new Powercore 4...looks pretty good. Used VHT engine paint. It went on like a dream in about 4 coats in under an hour. link is here....http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/engineenamel/ Bought it from JEG'S for $9
That does look better. I also painted mine, and also cut it shorter. To anyone thinking of making it shorter I'd advise you to be careful... I went too short at the front which means I'm getting too much heat on my leg, and it gets some kind of Hot.
6 beers + Foo Fighters + headlight cowling = Captain Husk-Fugly Got a better name....let me have it. I also carved out time to replace my front turn signals...rear will be tomorrow night
Haha nice... I see you're in Chicago, careful about the stubby signals, I know in California they'll hassle you about not being the "proper" distance apart. It was something like 12" apart in front and 9" in the rear... I'm in SC, and they don't really care, haha.
I don't have a better name, but you're bring back nightmares of a nun I had teaching me in 4th grade!
Small field trip today, Trondheim via Melhus to Kvål and up to Vassfjellet. Nice round trip of approx 55km. Stopped by the lokal Husqvarna (and other brands) dealer for a testride of the new Husqvarna 900 Nuda. Not at all a bad experience. Two good friends enjoying the view.
Brand new. nil km on the clock when I rode it. Feels tall, heavy and wery short wheelbased, dissapointed with the mechanical clutch system (wire) and sparse looking handlebar/risers. Fantastic looking bike, absolutely love the design and the "stealth look" of the whole layout, but - the handlebar/grip/brake and clutch appearance is dissapointing. Didn`t push it, and the sound is surprisingly barky. It growls with a undertone of challenging possibilities af wheelies and smoking some tires... Have to get one!
