Yea thats the coolest one Ive seen.. low ctr of gravity, nice look very nize what brand is it can you put more pics
Thanks.. I got them at a place called Princess Auto for $ 35.00 unfortunately they were not up to the task and by the end of the day the mount straps were coming apart.. I returned them. That being said.. I think if one was to mount them a little better they may survive the single track and rough stuff I put them through. Road work would be fine.. But yes the size was perfect and no problem with heat and the FMF pipe.
hey man looks great, didnt take long to put the e.h.s filter in,is the centre stand one of cigar mikes & does it work well ?
It is a Cigar Mikes. As a centerstand, it is pretty good. The balance point is spot-on; you can change either wheel without extra stands. It is a bit of a struggle to get it all the way up from the 17" wheels, but it shoud be fine with the standard wheels. There is very little tolerance For it to run between the sidestand and the swingarm- I had to bend it just a tad to fit. It is pretty useful to have when changing between road and dirt set-ups. I am pretty happy with the EHS, particularly in combination with the JD tuner. It does look pretty bling, but I am going to cover it with some aluminium security-mesh, so I don't poke holes in it with stick when riding in the bush.
Since all I have spoken with claims that my bike is impossible to use on a longer trip, i decided to test it all by myself. With just a backpack and tons of enthusiasm I drove from Trondheim til Lillehammer and back, total distance of 686km. Down on a monday, and back up on Thursday. No problems what so ever, stopped for coffe and petrol and had a stretch at the same time. Ok, the seat is a bit on the hard side, the riding position is very upright, but so what? No worries, but I will not do it again......
Anyone who knows what bugs and insects contains? Superglue???? My helmet, goggles and front of the bike is covered in green, red and brown bits of Norwegian insects, and it`s almost impossible to remove... Worst moment was when a bug hit me in the gap betweeen the goggles and the helmet. It buzzes like mad next to my left ear..... Panic brake, removal of helmet and release of insect....
I've had that happen a few times....w/ a bee. It's a great test of one's ability to remain calm while pulling over. Now on the bug juice....I hate that also. So as not to mar the helmet (especially not mar the shield, as replacements can get expensive) I take a damp paper towel and lay it on the shell/shield...press it down so it's in uniform contact...then let it sit for 15 minutes or so to soften the gunk up. Suppose you could use goo-gone for the really stubborn ones, but I've not had a bug here in the states that couldn't be removed w/ warm water. Now I know you use goggles, but for those of you w/ a clear shield plastic polish does wonders for keeping them clear and scratch free. I use the 3M stuff. Prob be fine on tinted...not sure about colored shields though.
I know I can buy som special "bug removal spray" at the local petrolstation, but I`m sort of sceptical to all these chemical stuff. But the trick with warm water and soaking it sounds better... I will give it a try tomorrow....
I think everything about this bike would work for long trips except the buzzing. After an hour of riding my hands and ass are just numb from the big thumper. Other than that I think it is perfect the way it is.
Softer grips and a better seat go a loooong way... I've got Progrip 717GP's and a Seat Concepts cover and foam.
