Thought you might like these, I'm on top of Steens Mtn. Oregon, day three of the Fallon to Canada ride.... more coming soon.....
These need to be on the front page rotation if they arent already. That picture on the fender is awesome!
Thy will be done I was just there a few days ago but I, too, get a little queasy at that height and couldn't bring myself to get so close to the edge. It's almost a mile down to the floor of the Alvord Desert...yikes WoodsChick
Ok, a totally non-mind-blowing photo of my Husky in the Steens last week... Man, that place is pretty WoodsChick
I'm kind of waiting for the time when I put the stock tank back on, put the sticky tires back on, maybe take the pannier protectors off the rack...you know, make it look like the mean street machine that it is instead of the larfy adventurey dualsporty thing that I've been turning it into I've got a sweet Leo Vince and a new-to-me Renazco that's just waiting for some free time, so maybe then I'll bring myself to put them on. They look really cool in my office, though WoodsChick
C'mon, c'mon - you know we're all waiting to see the next one in the sequence, just after you jumped the bike off the edge... :jawdrop: Awesome pics BTW.
Thanks....... From my vantage point it looked like I was flying !!! The guy with my new camera got so excited he tripped and fell on it and broke it and the lady that was there couldn't bear to watch me. It was an action packed moment for sure.....
LOL......LOL..... Here's one a little more tame, crossing a bridge somewhere in Montana.. I promise to post a report ASAP this was an awesome trip, 8 days, 1600mi. we hosted a guy from the Czech Republic, took him to the husky monument and so on, I'll get something posted I promise......
The Steens were pretty spectacular, but much like the Sierra range they are much more dramatic from below on the eastern side. I really enjoyed seeing the big gorges, though, and riding through the bumpy "Rooster Comb" section. Keep those photos coming! WoodsChick
Yeah you got me....... after a trip like this anything else seems easy, I even rode in woodsy singletrack and everything......
