Terra #2! I am reluctant to say this, but I think I am glad all this happened! This one runs alot better for some reason. No surging down low and it feels like it is already broke in. The throttle is right there off idle. I even clutched it at idle just to see if I could get it going without a hickup or a puff. I feathered it and rolled off just fine. I never had to think about it like I did the other one. Gobbs of power right out of the box too...crazy!!:D:D:D

That's funny Chris! I didn't mean to buy them all! Next one will be here at the end of January. I guess somebody from Guffy wanted to come by and see it before I took it. We tried to call him twice, but his phone was busy and I had some riding to do...sorry Charlie!

Seriously though, if anyone is interested in one of these, they need to put the money down. It is worth the wait and you will not be sorry.

Did you actually sell it to someone else? Any info what happened to the wrecked bike? Fixed up? Sitting in someones garage?

It is still in my buddy's garage waiting for a swing arm. It is getting extremely frustrating at this point just because riding season is here and the bike is unrideable. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't just straight faced lie about having one on it way three months ago and then again one month ago. We need to just pull it off at this point and see what we can do to either straighten it or cut and weld. The problem there is my plate is full and I have other obligations. So imagine having a near new bike sitting in your garage you can't ride because Husky can't produce a part. All the other little stuff is fixed, we just need a swing arm.

Sooooo....why do you ask? Does this have something to do with the harness and ECM needed for a Moss substitute? If so, the thought did cross my mind, but again, previous obligations have my time.

Yep! My dealer thought it looked better and I agreed. It is completely eliminated from my bike.

Yes, someone mentioned your accident but could not remember who actually had the accident. I searched and found this thread, so I thought I would touch base. To "close the loop" on the topic - now we know the status of the bike. :)

I will post again when we get the bike back together, or maybe sooner when we get the swing arm and ultimately close the loop. I will be excited when we get it back on the road and all is well.

Sounds like your a better rider than you think you are. Stay humble that help keep you around longer. Nice work! Good luck on on getting back on the road soon!

Closing the loop! 9 months later and we finally have a swing arm. It only took about an hour and a half to install it. I spent some extra time and did the kick stand mod, burped the radiator, added a carbon fiber patch inside and out on the broken tail section, and straightened the sub frame and brake pedal assembly. The sub frame is still slightly bent, but it is the best I could do without removing it from the bike. It rides just like new again!

How heavy does the subframe seem?

For example my 2006 TE250's swing arm seemed quite light, whereas my sons 2005 crf230f swing arm seemed incredibly heavy.

The subframe and swing arm do not seem overbuilt at all. They seem to be just as they need to be. I was going to weigh the swing arm, but I did not know if it would be beneficial to anyone. When Ken and I took our Terra's on the COBDR we thought at one point that the sub frame had a little too much flex and we actually tore one of the bikes down to make sure all was well. We decided a little flex with all the weight we were carrying was a good thing and we never had a problem.
