300 Piston n head after 31.5 hours. What yas reckon? Finally got around to replacing orings in head so hopefully cures the coolant loss problem. If not then new rad cap time I guess. Love havin 2 kids at Skool, a missus at work n an extra week off from work due to 'sick leave'! Beer, bikes n shed time yeehaa

    Yeah boy that is perfect.
    Welcome to 21st century

That head n piston look near perfect to me, what oil you using amsoil?
It looks a tad lean on the exhaust side of piston is that pitted or just white ash.
A hair richer on power jet perhaps.
    Looks good tho.

Yes I am the smartest man alive!!! I'm gonna bomb this site with photos now haha.

Tell ya the truth juicy I didn't pay that much attention to the slug was more looking at oring grooves n orings themselves. Wiped head with a clean rag but didn't touch piston. Fairly certain it's not pitting jus carbon build up me thinks. Pj is set at 5/8 from seated where as run 165 at 3/4 so maybe il jus richen it back up an eightth of a turn. Castrol tts 32:1 with 98 octane. Everything 2t or 4t runs on this at my place! :)

I'll get me bikes out tomoro in the sun n post up some pics of all the shit I've bolted onto em over the past 6 years. Will be an epic post!

Ok last penis pun I swear but like I say to my missus if you want more rod length u gotta stroke it! :)

She has little interest in engine building judging by my experiences the past few years.

If you weren't so busy buying new husky 300s Jax u could afford to get ya missus George the procedure. Then once she's Georgina there'd be no slug to worry bout! ;)

But hey I'd probably go the new bike too mate!

Here's my 2010 wr300 I've had it since new. 230 odd hours total on 3rd piston.
    -gnarly pipe & pc2 silencer
-chinga red silicone hoses(that don't bloody leak like oem ones did!)
-Magura hydro clutch with cut down 1 finger clutch lever
    -7602 covers n case saver(quality kit!)
    -fork bleeders
    -BRP red alloy bar cones
    -moose rear disc protector
-lighting harness removed jus a kill switch
    -tràiltech endurance 2 speedo
-yzf front fender(way more stylish than 90s husky style one)
-racetech Vface headlight(no globe jus for aesthetics n keep coppers happy)
    -B&B frame guards & bash plate(had a fair workout!)
    -force rad guards
-SS wheel spacers front along n back plus red motosportz axle nut n 30mm bar risers
-shortened(standard issue now!) 38mm lectron with 3-2M rod. Breathers routed up to airbox along with crankcase breather
-funnel web filter(with twinair n hiflo filtro on rotation between both bikes)
-stock pegs cut n shut to make lower n further back
-6kg shock with revalve n fix for pogo stick action(bigger piston band I think-suspension matters did it been sweet since)
-0.50kg fork springs stock valving n oil height(from memory)
-red TM designworks chain guide n chinga red 'powerlip' rollers(waitin on red TM designworks chain slider
-red HH +20mm gear tip(that's rooted n has a bolt in it to take slip out!) on driven ally shifter
-red Acerbis multiplo ally handguard(bent back into shape several times!) n Scott grips
-race discs brake discs(front shit n gettin replaced rear been fine)
-small things like holes drilled in bottom of end of swingarm to let water out-yep my bolt snapped from Rustin up-, rear brake pedal straightened n tip lengthened, steering stops in as far as possible, swingarm protection from shock mudflap, rad shrouds heated up n bent in(already broken tabs but saves catching too much greenery still), forks 10mm(3rd line) from flush in clamps.

-Waitin to get ally gasket upgrade for lectron bowl, red beta fork gurads(different look), new red rhk ultra lite steel 50t rear/did xring chain/prox steel 13t to go on soon, next rear tyre need spokes replaced as several seized. She has a few zip ties n odd screws/bolts/nuts holdin her together but she still goes hard! No garage queen that's for sure. She'd have a heap more hours on her but for the 165!

Haha n if you're wondering they're actually stubby holders around fork legs to act as seal savers-work well n can use the bottom neoprene circles to make grip donuts with. Yeah I'm cheap!

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg this is stock exhaust system. Squashed the pipe pretty good n was gonna bin it then got put onto a fella that fixes em. $130 he blew dents/crushed part out, decarboned it, wire brushed it back n made it look like 'works' pipe by bluing the seams/welds! Came up mint I reckon. Looks too good to use plus like it hangin in shed. Stock silencer I lopped 100mm to make it same length as powercore 2. Haven't tried either yet! Sorry for photo bombardment :)

Nah he's jus a boily rob. Fellas from Perth trail scene forum put me onto him. His kids race so always fixin pipes plus bit of cash on the side for him! If ya want it done post ya pipe to me n I'll drop it off n pick it up then post it back to ya no worries. He's not too far from my old girls place so easy enough as I'm always up there to go to airport for work. I'm gonna get my 165 pipe done too soon as I caved in the header section coupla weeks ago. $220 he quoted me for that as gottà be acid washed to get zinc/nickel platin off first. Bit exy but come up a treat! Not sure what postage cost ya but might be worth checkin with some local guys if they can do it? Pm me if ya wanna send it over.

It was a good 6 months ago I got it done so hopefully he hasn't jacked his prices up! 125 pipe cost me $70 n looks beautiful!!!
