PNW Husky event. Bend, OR. Oct. 15-16, 2010

Most people use knobbies there, but most people use knobbies everywhere else too. There are some real rocky sections where the trials tire willl shine.
Overall they hook up good and work well IMO. You won't be disappointed, especially if that is what you are accustomed to.

Finally caught up on all the info in the thread and answered my own question regarding skill levels. Camp II it shall be. Plan on driving up after work on Friday and riding Saturday/Sunday. Looking forward to some future great memories!

Sounds like a great time. Glad to see Kelly's bringing ALL the beer! Motosportz rocks!

Hope Eric can make it. I like how he throws that 690 through stuff I can only hope to ride someday!

I probably will be rolling in on Thursday too. So it's CampII?
Maybe we can get a crew together to go cut some firewood.

This is getting big.... maybe we should change staging areas

Camp II is my favorite cause it offers spots with some privacy, but its not going to the best spot for a huge gathering. We'll probably use every camp spot there and then some.

Should we move this to 2510? Then we'll have a big area where everyone is not segregated. And we'll have the huge open field to let the kiddo's ride in with no blind spots.

I would love to make this ride but I am not going to be able to get the time off to make it happen. You all have a blast!

Burning in the firepits shouldn't be a problem. The last couple of times I was there I saw many campfires.
A call to the NFS Fox Butte office is what I should do though, to find out about cutting areas and if a permit is needed. ??

Since nobody seems to care too much I think we should move this to camp 2510. Much bigger, no designated/segregated camp spots and the huge field next door is great to keep an eye on the kids. The 3 main camp spots are within a mile of each other and camp 2510 has more 'main' trails running through it, so it makes for good trail access.

I've cut lots of wood out there and never had any issues. Even with the Sheriff in sight. Not saying it was perfectly legal, but he wasn't concerned in the least. I thought we were doing good by burning potential hazardous tree fall

I would agree that a large single site will be better so that we can all be in proximity for the intense fire racing portion of the get together.

Can't wait to meet everyone, have a day off, and ride ride ride.

I'll hang paper plates saying 'Husky' and an arrow at any intersections. Unless someone else does it before I get there.

Its not hard to find.
