In comparison I must mention that the Acerbis wrap around just a little more on the lower stanchon. This is good for me because I just had to cannibalize a perfectly good fork to have the lower replaced on my new race bike due to rock scratches that cut the seal.

Here's a pic of my new guards. They are nice! We'll see how the zip ties hold up this weekend. 20151006_175928.jpg

Yes on both counts. KYB CC TXC 449 forks on that machine. Just completely rebuilt with seals, bushings, springs and valving for my big ass.

In the background is 1970 Econoline 200 custom "Super Van" Ordered direct from Ford by my Dad for hauling firewood and a CZ motocross machine. It's basically a 3/4 ton pickup chassis with an extended van body on it. Twin I beam front suspension that had NEVER needed an alignment, heavy duty low range rear end and the original 302 that has been completely rebuilt and balanced/ blue printed. Punched to ~306 with the original block, crank, and heads. Matched Edelbrock cam, lifters, and intake manifold, Accel electronic ignition, Mallory hot coil and other stuff. Been wanting to paint her but finding rubber is hard for that body style. Still hauls bikes and it's my current official race camping machine.
