I don't think anybody cares about the mark...they care about why there is a mark. If it's an oil leak, one would not be a "princess" to want it taken care of, methinks. If your bike had an oil leak somewhere, would you just shrug it off?
Nope, I'm a princess. I might beat the hell out of the bike offroad but I try and keep it looking snazzy for road duties (which is unfortunately the majority of the miles I put on it). It is not from rubbing in my case. It was not there when I picked up the bike and now it is at least as large as any of the pictures above.
Well..ok, then. We're back where we started. I looked at mine more closely this morning. The stain is not on the surface of the clear plastic. It's inside.
Yea, I agree the stain is inside the clear part of the hose. I tried to clean mine today with no luck. It must be slowly seeping through the steel braided part.
Touratech goodies arrived in the mail today. That pretty much completes this side of the bike as far as aftermarket bling. Still got the hose kit on it's way...paint the Husky logo in red....
I just spent 5 dollars on wash tokens at he local car wash to clean off the 15lbs of mud from yesterdays ride .Can hardly wait to do it again tomorrow !
Husky rear rack and Moose removeable tail bag. Everybody's seen the rack so I'll focus on the bag. Decent size to hold enough tools & supplies for around town or a day on the trail. It is expandable to additional 1-1/2" height from photo. Fills out the Husky rack perfectly and best thing is it can be removed in about 10 seconds so no worry about theft for in town use. Not crazy about the Moose graphics and logo but no choice. Here is the mounting plate with bag removed. One huge velcro attachment and two buckles - front and rear. Mounting plate is attached with four bolts so that could also be removed very quickly if so desired but really no reason to. My only grip is that it covers the beautiful Husky rack. For serious off roading I'm not going to trust the buckles. Will us a small cargo net to keep bag tight to rack. For any road use though not necessary, that large Velcro really holds and the buckles are security enough.
Renewed the gym membership. The bike is fine the way it is, to get more enjoyment out of riding I need to be in better shape. Stinking bling.
New Arrows exhaust, removed the CO and installed new EFI unit, now it`s running better. Also bought a bike hoist/jack from the local tools store.
woah I really let myself go..time to hit the gym. Anyways, I had this idea for handguards a few months ago, but wasn't sure how to go about doing it. I decided to tackle it today, so I went down to the local plastic store and bought a (roughly) 24"x15" sheet of 1/8th white acrylic sheet. Less than 6 bucks with tax. I cut the sheet in half and put one piece in the oven @260F for 15min on a baking pan. After it got nice and pliable I pulled it out and ran to the garage. I jammed it into the bike and formed it as fast as I could. Acrylic hardens pretty quick. It took a few times of running back to the oven and reheating it to get a decent copy of the mold. After that I made a better copy with aluminum foil, cut it out, and placed it over the acrylic for the outline. Some dremel & filing work...drilled a hole for the bolt....and a couple of slots for the ziptie on the other side. Try to ignore the lopsided graphics. I plan to pull it off and spray paint it later. Whadda ya think? Too many gun sights?
Cool, the sights stay. Thanks XLEM. Btw, nothing wrong with the HDB guards. They work fine. Just wanted to mix it up a bit.
