Yes. I bought my '11 250f and it had been setup by Solid for the previous owner. Obviously there has been some Husky on Husky cannibalism as that is not a 250f in the pic
16MAR2014 AMA Western HS Series, The Ranch at Anza (SoCal), on way to 4th 50A, last race on my 2013 TXC310R.
Delaware State Enduro (ECEA enduro series), May 2014. 4th (of 8) in C Open, 10th overall C. Maintaining my points lead in class, I hope!
Delaware Enduro 2014 This is after 7 miles of this in the second-to-last section. It took me 15 minutes of digging to extract the bike, and I houred out at the next check by 3 minutes. The bike is now in pieces in the garage awaiting some new bearings! I know it's not a Husky, but I couldn't bring myself to ride my still-shiny '14 TXC in what I knew would be a bike-destroying event.
Dave, was your row somewhere in the 30s or early 40s? I was on 42 and saw a blue bike buried pretty deep in a hole. The rider was being quite the gentleman and pointing everyone else on a good line around the side of the hole. If you remember a WR300 going by and then promptly tipping over, that was me! My only fall of the whole day... Crazy race, but awesome!
I was WAAAY back on row 60. This was the last A/B section. It was ALL like this, and by the grace of Dirtbike Diety, I picked all the right ruts up until the last mile. Oh, well. I was a bit pissed off at the time, but now I realize it was kinda fun! I got off the course at 5:15.
Must have been another guy on a blue bike stuck in a similar hole. Honestly, a few sections were really bad, but in general I thought the trails were good and I had a great time. I did "get to" skip a few sections by way of the C-rider cutoff, which probably helped.
Just pimpin' my 010 TC250 bike out to the younger riders here ... They are all excited over the efi 012 TC250 Husky I have now ... It'll be pimped till I sell it I guess... I'm really afraid to take it into the mountains to the remote places ... I'd swap it right now for a 09 WR250 Husky or about any WR250 Husky did does not have that new fangled electronic ignition off those streeter model bikes. This is Clinton... He's 100% pure bike racer. Just give him a bike, any bike, and he'll ride it well, 1st time out. Another very good rider here... Cyrin(?) ... Pronounced Siren. He can ride any class at these smaller races and stay in the upper classes at the larger races. What's the best way to get a rider on your Husky 4t bike? Don't bring your Husky 2t to the race.
Just wanted to post a couple shots of our much respected crew member the welshman Dave (Dai). from back in the day racing in wales circa 1984 and newer shot from circa 2009 also at a welsh race. these are cool shots so here they are. yes dyed in the wool KTM racer/rider
Me and my Son at the last AXC race (Ft. Chaffee) - First dry race this year (relative). We're both on TXC510.
A few from Gatorback, FTR HS#14 5/25/2014 Topping the hill heading into the woods.. Out of the woods heading into gravity cavity...
This is my son on his TXC310 at last Sundays AXC race. The promoter said "Little or no mud" - Different story when we got there. I tried to put these in the right order - but to no avail. He was pretty much full throttle through this section!
